Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address the two funding options and give some relevant benefits: team sponsorship could motivate young players, support a possible sports career and inspire other children, while concerts could encourage artists and help them earn money. However, the final recommendation is not clear. “Spend your money wisely through your managers or other team” does not say whether the company should choose the team or the concerts, and “do not give it directly to the host company” introduces an unexplained concern. The benefits are also asserted rather than supported with specific outcomes. To strengthen the response, state your preferred option directly and explain why it would benefit the local community or the company. The letter therefore only partially fulfils the purpose of requesting feedback.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic structure, with separate paragraphs introduced by “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Lastly,” so the reader can identify the two options and the closing point. Some ideas are linked, for example the claim that children may be inspired after watching the players. However, progression is limited: the final paragraph does not follow clearly from the comparison and leaves the recommendation unresolved. Several transitions feel mechanical, and the opening sentence is difficult to follow, which makes the purpose less clear. Organise the letter around the three requested points, use links that show comparison or cause and effect, and make the final paragraph a direct conclusion. A conventional sign-off would also help the letter feel complete.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “motivation,” “explore their talent,” “inspiration,” and “monetary gains.” This gives you some means of discussing both sport and music. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning difficult to interpret: “children’s support team” is unclear for a sports team, “god gifted-potentials” is unnatural, and “fund will expend on the suports” is hard to understand. There are also misspellings such as “gernal,” “benificial,” and “Morever.” Aim for precise, natural phrases such as “sponsor the children’s sports team,” “develop their abilities,” and “support local performers.” Proofreading spelling and choosing familiar collocations will make your ideas clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including “Also, other children can get inspiration after watching them and they may try to follow their footsteps.” However, the range is limited, and complex constructions are often faulty. The opening, “I am writing regarding to my view point as your company started to get the feedback,” has problems with the preposition pattern and clause structure. In “I would like to request you spend your money,” the verb pattern is incomplete; use “request that you spend” or “ask you to spend.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in lowercase “i” and the sign-off. Practise accurate sentence patterns and check articles, prepositions, verb forms and sentence boundaries; these errors currently make parts of the letter hard to read.
