Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the three requested points: you mention benefits of sponsoring the children’s team, give a benefit of the concerts, and state a preference for the sports team. The reasons—fitness, focus, and learning teamwork—are relevant, but they are only briefly stated. The concert benefit is less clear: the link between concerts, young people’s singing, and people developing talent needs explaining. The letter also lacks a suitable formal opening and closing, and the response is 27 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your ideas. To strengthen the response, explain each option more fully and make your recommendation explicit in a complete, appropriately formal letter.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic sequence: it discusses the sports sponsorship, then the concerts, and finally gives your preference. This helps the reader identify the main points. However, the ideas are packed into long, loosely connected sentences, and the transition “If we are going towards the concerts” is awkward and does not clearly signal a comparison. The final recommendation repeats the earlier point about physical activity rather than drawing the discussion together. Use separate paragraphs for the two options and your recommendation, and connect ideas with clear, accurate transitions such as “In addition” and “By contrast.” A conventional closing would also make the letter feel more complete.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a small set of relevant words, including “sponsor,” “physically fit,” “team member,” and “talents,” so the reader can understand the general subject. However, the vocabulary is limited and some choices or spellings make the message less clear, such as “influince,” “apr iciate,” and “focus on their self.” The phrase “focus on sports” is also repeated in different forms, rather than using a wider range to explain the benefits. Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, for example, describing how sport promotes teamwork or encourages an active lifestyle. More precise language would help you explain the concert benefits and make your recommendation sound more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to connect ideas using clauses such as “it not only increase their focus … but also they get phsically fit,” showing an effort to write beyond short, simple sentences. However, the structures are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries occur frequently. For example, “a large company … decide” needs a correctly formed verb, while “It also help them” has a subject–verb agreement error. The opening sentence joins several ideas with commas, making it difficult to follow. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences with controlled conjunctions. Check verb agreement and punctuation carefully before submitting.
