A large company in your area has decided to spend a certain amount of money, either to sponsor a local children's sports team for two years, or to pay for two open-air concerts. It has asked for feedback from the general public.
Write a letter to the company. In your letter

- say how you think the company should spend the money
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear sir or Madam,
First of all, I really apreciate the consideration of people for the choice on expenditure.
There are numerous advantages of sponsoring a local sport team of children as they may grow and make their career in sports because of the company. Additionally, local people would not have any stress for fees for the children. On top of that children might gain confidence and feel safe with the financial support of the company.
Company can be in headlines if money spends on concerts and it would be a major marketing ares. Company will have reputation and respect from people.
But,I think money sholud be spent on concert and there shoud be a charge on entry pass. This arrangement will bring more income which could be enough for at least 5 to 10 years of sponsorship for local children.
I hope you will consider my feedback and if you choose to support welfare I would love to be volunteer of the event.
Yours faithful,
Ron.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you explain that sponsorship could help children pursue sport, reduce pressure from fees and build confidence; you also identify publicity and reputation as benefits of concerts, then state your preference for concerts. The recommendation is supported by a practical suggestion to charge for entry and use the income to fund future sponsorship. However, the benefits of concerts are less fully summarised than those of the team, and the link between ticket income and “5 to 10 years of sponsorship” is asserted rather than explained. Develop this reasoning and make the comparison more balanced. Your opening and closing are appropriate for a formal letter, though the final offer to volunteer is not necessary to the main purpose.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall arrangement: an opening, a paragraph on team sponsorship, a paragraph on concerts and your recommendation, and a closing. Connectors such as “Additionally,” “On top of that” and “But” help show how ideas relate, and the reader can follow your position. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some flexibility in linking points. To make progression more consistently smooth, avoid placing several benefits in a list-like sequence and explain how each supports your argument. The transition from concert publicity to charging for entry could be clearer, as could the connection between ticket revenue and long-term sponsorship. Check spacing and punctuation around transitions, for example “children. On” and “But,I,” which interrupt the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of relevant vocabulary, including “sponsoring,” “financial support,” “confidence,” “marketing” and “reputation,” so the main ideas are communicated. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “consideration” and “expenditure.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “a major marketing ares,” “money spends on concerts” and “charge on entry pass.” Spelling errors such as “apreciate,” “sholud” and “shoud” are noticeable and reduce the impression of control. Aim for precise, natural combinations—for example, “spend the money on concerts” and “charge an admission fee”—and proofread spelling. This would make your vocabulary more reliable and appropriate to the letter.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the clause “as they may grow and make their career in sports” and the conditional idea “if you choose to support welfare.” Most of the message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. For example, “people would not have any stress for fees” has an unclear grammatical pattern, while “if money spends on concerts” needs a passive construction or a different subject. There are also missing articles and awkward sentence boundaries, as in “Company can be in headlines” and “children. On top of that.” Practise accurate passive forms, articles and sentence punctuation, while keeping your useful attempts to link clauses.
