Student answer (Band 5.0)
Dear Sir or Mam,
i am writing in to response of the feedback from my side, it is very generous of you, considering our area to invest on.
it will be benefitial for both the children as well as the company. you can provide many children with their dream, which furthermore helps the company to attract locals. Although, there are many children wants to play professionaly by sponsoring them it will be kind of a future investment whereas, they can get more name and fame after playing from the team which can provide them on all the needed things, such as quality training, best coaches, nice playground with all the equipments needed.
On the other hand, i think spending on organizing concerts is also a great idea, by which company can benefit on selling tickets and by adding local vendors and sponsors too. At the end, i am very greatful of you thinking to invest on our area. we are really apreciate.
youra faithfully,
Kamal

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You address the three requested points in outline: you describe possible benefits of supporting children, mention advantages of concerts, and express a preference for the sports team. However, the response does not clearly state how the company should spend the money; the reader has to infer your choice from the discussion of sponsorship. The concert benefits are also only briefly summarised, while the sports-team benefits are not always clearly explained—for example, “they can get more name and fame” does not specify whether this refers to the children or the company. The letter therefore responds only minimally to parts of the task. Make your recommendation explicit and develop each option with clear, relevant reasons.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the response begins with its purpose, moves to sponsorship, then introduces concerts with “On the other hand,” and ends with a closing. This gives the reader a basic sense of the two options. However, the ideas do not progress clearly within paragraphs, and several points run together in a long sentence beginning “Although, there are many children…”. The contrast marker is also not fully effective because the letter never clearly compares the options or states its final decision. Paragraphing and clearer links between each benefit would improve the progression. Use one paragraph for each option and a final paragraph that gives your recommendation and closing thanks.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “sponsoring,” “professional,” “quality training,” “coaches,” “vendors,” and “tickets.” These words help communicate the general ideas, but the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning unclear. For instance, “invest on” and “benefit on selling tickets” are not natural combinations, while “provide them on all the needed things” is difficult to interpret. There are also noticeable spelling errors such as “benefitial,” “greatful,” and “apreciate.” Aim for more precise phrases such as “invest in the team,” “generate revenue from ticket sales,” and “provide the resources they need,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer structures, including a sentence with “whereas” and a contrast introduced by “On the other hand,” but the range is limited and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors include “i am writing in to response,” “there are many children wants,” and “we are really apreciate,” where sentence structure or verb forms are incorrect. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, and the long sentence about sponsorship is difficult to follow because clauses are joined without clear control. These errors can make the reader pause, although the main topic remains understandable. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with correctly formed clauses and consistent punctuation.
