Student answer (Band 5.0)

According to my understanding, It depends. Not all countries are financially stable .It might be a benefit for society having more elderly people but some countries can not bear this due to their overpopulation risk or financial instability for middle or lower class people.

However, it comes with variety of advantages along with disadvantages . Elder people are more attached with tradition and culture of their ancestors contrast having not enough knowledge about changes and new terms of another generation which might be lead to conflicts between older and new mindsets .The generational conflicts between millennials and Gen Z are the approach of various newspapers and articles.

In addition, Aging population is a big threat to less developed countries and poor families too. Old people are not able to support themselves financially and mentally and it is difficult for average men to serve their family and parents or even grandparents this leads to financial breakdown .

In my perspective , Elders have right to live but if a nation has more elders in it this might be leads to the ruin of nation and also the crisis for government. They teach us numerous things and techniques which helped us to understand the world and survive into it but also ruin the mental peace of younger generation intend to imposing old mindset and hope us to act like they do in their teenage.

To Conclude my point, Elders are blessing and crucial part of us nevertheless terrified threat to overpopulated countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt but lacks depth in its development. While you acknowledge both sides, the arguments remain superficial and lack specific examples or logical expansion. For instance, the claim that an aging population leads to the 'ruin of a nation' is a significant over-generalization that lacks supporting evidence. The position is somewhat inconsistent, as you describe elders as a 'blessing' and a 'terrified threat' in the same sentence. To improve, you should focus on developing two clear, distinct arguments—one for the advantages and one for the disadvantages—and support them with concrete reasoning rather than broad, unsubstantiated statements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow between and within them is often disjointed. Transitions like 'However' and 'In addition' are used, but they do not always connect the ideas effectively. For example, the transition from discussing generational conflict to financial threats is abrupt. Additionally, the use of referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'this might be lead to conflicts,' where the antecedent is ambiguous. Improving the use of cohesive devices and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the readability and logical progression of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band score. You rely on repetitive phrasing, such as 'financial' and 'elderly/elders,' and some word choices are unnatural or incorrect, such as 'ruin of nation' or 'intend to imposing.' There are also issues with collocation, such as 'terrified threat' (which should be 'terrifying threat'). To reach a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct context and collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'this might be leads to'), article usage (e.g., 'ruin of nation'), and sentence structure (e.g., 'contrast having not enough knowledge'). You rely mostly on simple sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that verbs agree with their subjects and that prepositions and articles are used correctly. Proofreading for these common errors is essential.
