Student answer (Band 5.0)
Yes,I also think that an aging population creates problems for government because government duty is to take care of an aging population. Government has to pay more and more money on aging population when they are sick that's why aging population creates a problem for Government. Aging population can also affect an elder people because when aging population is getting higher than that also affect on elder people work because there is no more work available. Government has to give pension to an aging population. When aging population are getting sick government should taking care of them and paying money for them more .when aging population is increasing then government expenses is also increasing. When aging population is increasing then government has to give more pension to an aging population .
Yes,I also participate with other people think that there are benefits if society has more elderly people because Elderly people have more knowledge about past generation.Elder people knows how to balance family member .Elderly people have more knowledge about culture, festivals, tradition etc.Elderly people knows how to handle society problems and how to solving that they knows and they are solving and they can solving very well.Elderly people are staying for very long in society in world so that they knows about everything and they help to make proper family they are balanced family with proper manner. In society there should be Elderly people to handling society problems, discussion and fighting.
Conclusion; In my opinion Elderly people is important in our society because they can teach us many things that we don't know about culture ,festival. So I think there is more advantages of having Elderly people in our society than non having.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument, but the development is limited and repetitive. The ideas regarding the economic burden on governments and the social value of the elderly are relevant but lack depth and specific examples. The position is clear, but the arguments are presented in a simplistic manner, often restating the same point (e.g., government expenses) rather than exploring the complexity of the issue. To improve, you should aim to provide more nuanced arguments and support them with concrete examples or logical explanations that go beyond basic observations. The essay meets the minimum length requirement, but the content remains superficial throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between and within them is mechanical and repetitive. You rely heavily on simple sentence structures and repetitive phrasing, such as starting multiple sentences with 'When aging population is increasing'. There is a lack of varied cohesive devices; transitions like 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast' are missing. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the logical progression of ideas is hindered by the repetitive nature of the writing. To improve, focus on using a wider range of linking words and ensure that each sentence builds logically upon the previous one rather than simply restating the core idea.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts the ability to convey complex ideas. You frequently use the same phrases, such as 'aging population' and 'elderly people', throughout the text. There is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic expressions. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of variety makes the writing feel basic. To improve, try to use synonyms and more precise terminology related to the topic, such as 'demographic shift', 'pension schemes', 'intergenerational knowledge', or 'fiscal strain'. Expanding your vocabulary will help you express your arguments with greater precision and sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The grammatical range is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Elderly people knows', 'government should taking care'), article usage, and punctuation. Complex sentence structures are rarely attempted, and when they are, they often contain errors that affect clarity. For example, the phrase 'how to solving that they knows and they are solving and they can solving very well' is grammatically incorrect and confusing. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of verb forms. Practice combining simple sentences into more complex ones using relative clauses or conjunctions.
