Student answer (Band 5.0)

In many countries individuals are now remain alive longer than ever before. Some people say an aging po[pulation creates problems for governments, and while other think there are benefits if society has more youngsters. There are many advantages and disadvantages of this situation. The government of some countries is not able to provide services but having more elders in society creates a huge difference in economy of any country. I will disuss it in detail.

Firstly, with an increased population government is unable to pursure facilities to local people and provide services to everyone. The proportion of people decides the facilities for society. In under developing countries due to grown up population government is unable to make sure common services of society. due the fact that the government has no budget to fullfill the basic needs of every person. These situations also cause a lot of problems for both government and management. For example, we are living in a small town in a city. Although we are living in a good society but due to crowed everywhere we are unable to get every facility from state.

On the other hand, a considerable amount of individuals also think that there are many advantages of being more youngsters. They think because youngsters plays an important role in any country's economy. The teenagers develope new ideas and ways for income and generate more ways for other people to earn money. A country with educated youth will definitely grow with the passage of time but the fact is, it is only possible with the government support. For example, china is one of the richest economy of the word because they give more values to their young people and also fullfill all there needs.

To conclude, youth is the important assest of any society but they support there society with the appropriate facilities. Consequently, aging population is not a bad thing but securing there future is the main problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to address the specific prompt regarding an 'aging population.' Instead, the essay focuses almost entirely on 'youngsters' and 'youth,' which is the opposite of the topic. While the introduction mentions an aging population, the body paragraphs shift focus to the benefits of youth and the problems of overpopulation in general. Because the core argument does not engage with the advantages or disadvantages of an aging society, the response is largely off-topic. The position is unclear, and the ideas are not developed in relation to the actual task question. To improve, you must ensure your arguments directly address the specific demographic mentioned in the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive feature. However, the logical progression is weak because the ideas do not consistently relate to the prompt. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly' and 'On the other hand,' but they are sometimes used mechanically or inappropriately given the shift in topic. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the transition between the government's inability to provide services and the discussion of youth. The conclusion is abrupt and does not effectively summarize the main points or provide a clear final stance on the aging population issue.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'pursure facilities' (likely meaning 'provide' or 'ensure'), 'grown up population' (instead of 'growing'), and 'richest economy of the word' (instead of 'world'). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to discuss the topic with precision. You rely on basic terms and struggle to express complex ideas clearly. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to demographics and social issues, and pay closer attention to spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'individuals are now remain alive,' 'other think,' 'youngsters plays,' and 'fullfill all there needs.' The sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors in subject-verb agreement or word order. Punctuation is also inconsistent. While the meaning is generally discernible, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles would significantly improve your accuracy.
