Student answer (Band 5.5)
This phenomenon comes with both bemefits and drawbacks. However, i fiemly believe that its advantages outweigh the disadvantages. My stance will be discussed in the upcoming paragraphs with valid reasons and appropriate examples.
To begin with, primary most significant advantage is that childcare support. Ages can take care of their grandchild when parents are quite swaped. If the aged people can look after their grandsons and daughters, guardians cam manage their load such as job-related activities and domestic tasks. For instance, many guardians can handle effectively their personal and proffesional life with the help of senior citizens. In addition, ages people have valueable experience. They have a lot of knowledge and experience. As a result, older adults can share their skills and life lessons with young generation for helping them to make a right dicisions.
Moreover, olders people can provide extensive practical knowledge. Their life expertise can help youngsters to deal with family issues, stress and unconvenient situation. Foe example, if people can share their problems with elders so, they support them and give a right pathway.
On the other hand, as opposed to the merits, there are certain demerits that cannot be ignored. One major drawback of this situation that older adults also be the greater burden on families. Family members may need to spend more money and timefor caring them. Some people require daily assistance with healthcare and household activites. Which can create financial issues and emotional pressure on extented family.
To sum up, although aging population can create burden and pressure on families. I strongly believe that having older peoples may beneficial for individuals. They can do childcare support and also provide a life lesson. Their experience can support adults to make a right decision about life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of an aging population and clearly states a position that the advantages outweigh the drawbacks. Ideas are generally relevant, focusing on childcare support and the transmission of life experience, as well as the potential burden on families. However, some arguments lack full development or suffer from repetitive points, such as mentioning experience and life lessons multiple times across different paragraphs. The position is maintained throughout, fitting the Band 6 descriptor well where all parts are addressed, though some ideas are slightly under-developed or repetitive.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay has a recognisable overall structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and paragraphs are used. However, progression is sometimes hindered by mechanical transitions and repetitive statements. Cohesive devices are attempted, such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand', but referencing and linking within sentences are occasionally faulty, as seen in fragments like 'Which can create financial issues'. Paragraphing is present, but the logical flow between ideas lacks seamlessness. This performance aligns with the Band 6 criteria for coherence and cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used provides an adequate range for the task, allowing the student to communicate their ideas about family support and burdens. However, there are numerous spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, such as 'bemefits', 'ifiemly', 'swaped', 'ages' instead of 'aged people' or 'seniors', 'valueable', 'unconvenient', and 'extented'. While the student attempts some less common vocabulary items like 'proffesional' and 'financial issues', the persistent spelling errors and odd collocations ('unconvenient situation') place this clearly in the Band 5 category, where noticeable lexical errors cause some difficulty for the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures like 'If the aged people can look after... guardians can manage...'. However, there are frequent grammatical errors and punctuation issues, such as sentence fragments ('Which can create financial issues and emotional pressure on extented family.'), subject-verb agreement errors ('older adults also be the greater burden'), and missing articles. These frequent errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader and prevent the text from reaching a higher band, making Band 5 an accurate reflection of the grammatical control demonstrated.
