Student answer (Band 5.5)
In many countries, an aging population was advantage for country.I agree with some people to they say there are benefits if society has more elderly people. An aging population not creates problems for government. An aging have lots of expreince that was benefits for us.
An aging population have some problems solutions which problems solutions find people. In india, an aging people was at home so home was good and for our cultural values. In india, an aging people was not at home thier was not good for child and family. An aging population creates significant economic and healthcare challenges for governments, though it also offers valuable societal benefits like wisdom, mentorship, and family support.Senior citizens possess a wealth of accumulated knowledge and professional expertise, allowing them to act as invaluable mentors to younger generations. Moreover, within the family structure, retired grandparents frequently provide essential, cost-free childcare, thereby liberating working parents to remain actively engaged in the labor market. Additionally, the elderly are the backbone of the voluntary sector and local governance, driving civic engagement and fostering community cohesion while stimulating the "silver economy" through their specialized consumer spending in leisure and wellness.Furthermore, seniors often have free time to volunteer, help local communities, and spend money on travel and hobbies, which helps local businesses.
In conclusion, while the elderly offer profound societal stability, mentorship, and familial support, their rising numbers present monumental fiscal and macroeconomic liabilities.Because a smaller workforce cannot easily support a massive number of retirees, the disadvantages of an aging population outweigh the advantages. Governments must act quickly to prepare for these changes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear final judgement that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, and you identify relevant benefits such as grandparents providing childcare, older people mentoring younger generations, and volunteering. You also acknowledge fiscal and workforce pressures. However, the response addresses the task only partially because the position is not consistent: the opening says an aging population is an advantage and denies that it creates government problems, while the conclusion says the disadvantages outweigh the benefits. Several points are asserted rather than explained, especially the brief reference to India and cultural values. Develop each side with a specific explanation or example, and make your position clear from the introduction onward.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a recognisable overall shape, with an opening, discussion of benefits and challenges, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Additionally,” and “Furthermore” help signal added points. However, progression is difficult to follow because the opening ideas are repeated and the response shifts abruptly from the short India example to a much more formal list of benefits. The paragraphing is also weak: most of the discussion is presented as one long block, and the conclusion is attached directly to the preceding sentence. Use separate paragraphs for the introduction, advantages, disadvantages, and conclusion, and connect each point in a clear sequence. Avoid adding transitions without showing how the ideas relate.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “professional expertise,” “mentors,” “civic engagement,” “community cohesion,” and “macroeconomic liabilities.” These choices allow you to discuss both social benefits and economic costs, and several less common expressions are used effectively. However, control is uneven: phrases such as “An aging population was advantage,” “an aging have lots of expreince,” and “some problems solutions” are unclear or inaccurate, while “monumental fiscal and macroeconomic liabilities” sounds overstated. Spelling errors such as “expreince” also reduce precision. Aim for natural collocations and consistent wording—for example, refer to “older people” or “older adults” rather than repeatedly using “an aging.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the sentence beginning “Because a smaller workforce cannot easily support a massive number of retirees.” Some later sentences are controlled, such as the explanation that grandparents provide childcare, but grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. Errors include missing or incorrect articles and verb forms in “an aging population was advantage” and “An aging population have,” as well as faulty sentence construction in “An aging population not creates problems for government.” Punctuation and spacing are also unreliable, particularly where sentences run together. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete sentence boundaries before adding more complex structures; this will make your ideas easier to understand.
