Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view that older people benefit society, while governments have responsibilities towards them. The point about older people sharing life experience with younger generations is relevant, and you mention pensions and medical care as possible costs. However, the response does not fully weigh the advantages against the disadvantages: the government-cost argument is not explained in detail, and the benefits are mostly general rather than supported with a specific example. The conclusion also says ageing is “not disadvantages” without directly clarifying how far the benefits outweigh the costs. Develop each side with a concrete explanation and make your comparative judgement explicit throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph about government costs, a paragraph about social benefits, and a conclusion. “On the other hand” helps signal the shift between the two main points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, the sentence about tax contributions does not clearly explain how these offset the costs of pensions and healthcare. The introduction’s final sentence is also confusing and does not clearly preview the argument. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main claim, then connect explanations and examples directly to that claim. Clearer referencing and fewer awkward transitions would make the overall argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “pension,” “medical,” “income tax,” “experience,” and “younger generation,” so the reader can identify the main subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning unclear. Examples include “living more than expected duration,” “make several issue,” and “employmental.” Spelling errors such as “becuase,” “pention,” and “existance” are also noticeable. Aim to learn common phrases for this topic and check word forms and spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary for costs, care, and intergenerational contributions would help express your ideas without relying on repeated general terms such as “facility” and “generation.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a relative clause in “experience of their life, which is helpful for the younger generation.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms. For example, “the oldest generation make several issue” has agreement and plural problems, while “the government make the regulation” needs a correctly formed verb and clearer sentence structure. The opening phrase “There are partially have the advantages” is also difficult to interpret grammatically. These errors sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement and articles.
