Student answer (Band 5.0)

Older people population has been increasing in some countries. This is helpful because they teach values , lessons that they learn from the life to the younger generation and help the government with their experience.

Youth has different abilities that is important to perform any task. They are full of energy but if guidance and experience attach to them it may take to new heights. So older can give such guidance to them. Therefore their presence in the society is very important. Without them younger people need time to handle the problem because it would be his first experience of completing tha task. Otherwise older help them with their experience and they don't have to face the problem.

As we see experts play a vital role in every sector whether it is sports, education or tech department.

However, we need manners, ethics to live in a community. We also need to learn behavior that closes you to others. All these things younger can only be learn from their elders. So they have a vital role in making the country great.

Beyond the aspect of older people contribution, some person they are burden on the economy of the country. They are using the resources of the society and don't contributing in any act. They perform task very slowly in the era where the world has become too fast. They need for look after. Such countries or community disgrace the older generation

Overall, aged people have more contribution in their society than their drawbacks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a clear overall position in the final sentence, arguing that older people contribute more than they cost, and you give relevant reasons: elders can pass on experience, guide younger people, and teach social values. However, the response addresses the comparison only partially. The benefits receive several paragraphs, while the disadvantages are briefly asserted as economic burden, resource use, and slower work, without explaining their scale or consequences. The claim that older people “help the government with their experience” is also not developed with a specific example. To strengthen the response, explain how these benefits and costs affect society and directly weigh them against each other, using a relevant example to support your judgement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure: it introduces the topic, develops benefits, presents a contrasting paragraph, and ends with a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Therefore,” “However,” and “Overall” help signal relationships between ideas. Nevertheless, progression is not consistently clear: the discussion moves from guidance to experts, then to manners and ethics, without fully connecting these points to the central comparison. Some references are also difficult to follow, as in “they are using the resources” and “Such countries or community disgrace the older generation.” Improve cohesion by giving each paragraph one clear purpose, using precise references, and explaining how each example supports the argument. A more developed transition into the disadvantages would also make the contrast easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “guidance,” “experience,” “vital role,” “resources,” and “economy,” which allows you to communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning unclear. For example, “older people population” is awkward, “guidance and experience attach to them” does not express the intended relationship naturally, and “closes you to others” is unclear. There are also spelling and word-form problems, such as “tha task” and “contribution” where a plural form is needed. Build accuracy by learning common collocations for ageing and social contributions, and check word forms and spelling during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses with “because,” “if,” and “whether,” showing an effort to go beyond simple statements. However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence structure, agreement, and verb forms, sometimes making the reader work to understand the point. Examples include “older can give such guidance,” “younger can only be learn from their elders,” and “they are burden on the economy.” The sentence beginning “Beyond the aspect of older people contribution” is also difficult to parse because its structure is incomplete or unclear. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check articles, plural forms, and verb patterns, especially when describing what older people do or what younger people learn.
