Student answer (Band 5.5)

In many countries, individulas are in today's living longer that in past. It argued by some people aging population creates issues for authorities. While, some believes there are benefits if society has mare elderly masses. I strongly agree its merits overlap the demerits and I will discuss this trend in the upcoming paragraph with some extent.

To start with, there are many reasons associated with it. The first and foremost point is rich experience. To explain this, they has so many retire people such as doctor, engineer, officers and teachers. Which can share there expreience with the younger generation and boots their knowledge. For example, in India a retire teacher could give tution classes to the student also give motivation after telling them the journy of their life. Moreover, the another point is preserve culture. To justify this, older people can hold children and play with them while, their parnets are on work. Additionally, they told stories and teach child's about the history which also helps to save their culture for long time.

On the other hand, for government it also make problems such as consume government resources. To presize this, many retire people or also other get pension from authories. If it regulate in huge quantity so, it also leads to lack of other resources for the country. Furthermore, it aslo make the poor economy. To eloborate it, if aging population increase so it also leads to the in lack of yonger generation. Therfore, it reduce the wroking who work in different part of the country and due to that the taxes which goes to government can surely close. As a result, it makes the infrastuture of the country poor which make by using the taxes on it.

In conclusion, althought poor society the elderly people give lot of benefits such as in preserving the culture also use their experience in front of younger. However, it also make issues for the authorities and make the economy poor.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both sides of the question and state a clear position: “I strongly agree its merits overlap the demerits.” Relevant advantages include older people sharing experience and helping preserve culture, while the disadvantages focus on pension costs and a smaller workforce. The examples about a retired teacher and childcare help make the benefits concrete. However, the comparison implied by “to what extent” is not fully developed: the conclusion repeats both sides but does not clearly explain why the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, despite your opening position. Some claims, especially that an aging population makes the economy poor, are asserted rather than explained. Develop the causal reasoning and make your final judgement explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Sequencing within the body is generally understandable, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “On the other hand,” and “As a result” help show relationships between points. However, some linking is mechanical or unclear: repeated frames such as “To explain this” and “To justify this” interrupt the flow, while “Which can share…” is not clearly connected to the preceding sentence. The final paragraph also introduces “poor society” without a clear link to the argument. Use fewer formulaic transitions, connect each example directly to its main point, and ensure the conclusion follows logically from the position stated in the introduction.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “pension,” “younger generation,” “preserve culture,” and “taxes,” and the reader can usually identify your intended ideas. However, the range and control are limited, with noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors that sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “individulas,” “expreience,” “boots their knowledge,” and “the working who work,” as well as the unclear phrase “poor society.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “elderly masses” and “consume government resources.” Build a more accurate set of topic phrases and check spelling and natural word combinations; this will make your arguments clearer and more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including explanations with “while,” “if,” and “which,” and the overall meaning is often recoverable. However, errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms occur across the response. For example, “they has so many retire people” has incorrect agreement and an unclear construction, while “it also make problems” and “it also leads to the in lack” show problems with verb forms and sentence structure. The fragment “Which can share…” is also not a complete sentence. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses carefully. Proofread for agreement and complete sentences, especially when using longer explanations.
