Student answer (Band 6.0)
Sports activities play an essential part in people's lives. Some people believe that children should take part in group activities in their leisure time. However, others think that they should learn how to occupy themselves on their own. From my perspective, group activties and alone time both are equally important for children since it is helpfull for their development. The following paragraphs explains both views with some examples.
The main advantage of participating in organised team activities is that children learn team skills. They learn how to co-operate and stay patience with team if any conflict occures. For example, sometimes, players do not agree with each other at some points, at that time, they have to be silent and think productively. As a result, this not only makes their team stronger but also helps to develop their brain becasue during conflicts they may learn how to solve problems with patience. Therefore, their understanding increases. Moreover, if any player is weak, they work together to make the team equal in sport. Some children may not know the techniques which prevent them to become an excellent player. Their team-mates help them to learn those tactics. In this way, they support each others and learn how to help needy ones.
At the same time, it is vital for pupils to learn how to spend their free time alone. This is because they may able to read themselves. For instance, as they grow older. some children overthink and may experience difficulty to take important decisions. They start taking their decision in their younger age such as what kinds of activities they can to do to occupy themselves. Consequently, they may feel confident when they will take crucial step in their future life. It may bring a positive development in their life. Furthermore, some children are introvert. They do not prefer to do group activities because they think they can spend their day productively if they are alone. Some students even study alone as they can clarify their doubts by studying on their own. Resultantely, they passed their exams with excellent marks.
In conclusion, groups activties are beneficial for children as these teach them how to solve conflicts and support each others. On the other hand, if they occupy themselves on their own, they might learn how to take important decisions in their life and can work on their weekness perfectly. Thus, in my opinion, both activties are equally important for their growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both views and give a clear opinion that children benefit from both organised activities and time alone. The team-activity discussion is supported with relevant examples, including resolving disagreements and helping less-skilled teammates. You also explain that independent time can encourage decision-making and suit children who prefer studying alone. This covers the task well, though some reasoning is less fully developed: for example, the link between choosing activities alone and later confidence with major decisions is asserted rather than explained. The point about introverted children could also be balanced by clarifying that independent time is valuable without implying that group activities are unsuitable for them. More precise development of these ideas would make the response more consistently convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion that restates your position. Ideas generally progress in a sensible order, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “At the same time,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. In the first body paragraph, “As a result” and “Therefore” repeat the same cause-and-effect movement, while “this” in “this not only makes their team stronger” has an imprecise reference. The independent-time paragraph also shifts from decision-making to introversion and exam results without fully linking these points. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make the relationship between each example and its main idea explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “co-operate,” “conflicts,” “techniques,” “introvert,” and “crucial step,” and the meaning is usually understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “solve problems with patience.” However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “activties,” “becasue,” “weekness,” and “Resultantely” should be corrected, while “stay patience” and “help needy ones” are not natural collocations. Some wording is also vague or repetitive, such as “positive development in their life” and repeated references to “important decisions.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships, and choose more precise terms for the benefits you describe.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, using clauses with “since,” “because,” “if,” and “as,” and most of your meaning remains clear. Some sentence patterns are handled successfully, such as “They do not prefer to do group activities because they think they can spend their day productively if they are alone.” However, there are several errors in agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction. For example, “it is helpfull” should be “they are helpful” or “this is helpful,” and “The following paragraphs explains” needs subject–verb agreement. “They may able to read themselves” is missing “be,” while “when they will take” is an incorrect future construction after “when.” Punctuation also needs attention in “For instance, as they grow older. some children…”; these clauses should be joined and punctuated correctly.
