Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 166 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the essay introduces both sides of the argument and states a clear position, the discussion is truncated. The second body paragraph is incomplete, ending abruptly mid-sentence, and the conclusion is entirely missing. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed, and the ideas are underdeveloped due to the lack of length and depth. To improve, you must ensure you provide a full introduction, two well-developed body paragraphs, and a clear concluding summary to meet the minimum length requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'on the one hand' and 'on the other hand' to signal the structure. However, the progression of ideas is interrupted by the incomplete nature of the text. Paragraphing is attempted, but the final paragraph is missing, which disrupts the overall logical flow. Referencing is generally clear, but the lack of a concluding paragraph makes the essay feel unfinished. To improve, focus on completing your thoughts within each paragraph and ensuring you include a final paragraph that synthesizes your arguments and restates your position.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You use some relevant topic-specific vocabulary like 'interpersonal skill', 'cooperate', and 'leadership abilities'. However, there are several spelling errors, such as 'chold' instead of 'child', 'joins' (spacing error), and 'self esstem' instead of 'self-esteem'. Additionally, the word choice is somewhat repetitive. To achieve a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated synonyms and ensuring accurate spelling and word formation throughout your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Examples include 'children should be encourage' (should be 'encouraged'), 'I thing' (should be 'think'), and 'solve problems with other' (should be 'others'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors suggests a lack of control over basic grammatical rules. Focus on proofreading your work to correct subject-verb agreement and verb forms.
