Student answer (Band 5.5)
According to the statement I totally agree with both the opinions of parents that children should take part in group activities but he/she should also know the other way
A children should participate in group activities because they will learn new things which will definetly help them in future like how to talk in public, how to represent yourself on the other hand they will gain knowledge from other, In my opinion no one is born with knowledge of everything there will be few thing they are now aware of and in group activities he/she will learn and later they can share it to. One of the most Important thing is a person can see in himself is once they start participating in group they never feel nervous and underconfident, whenever and whearver they got chance to share their knowledge and experience
On the other hand parents are also not wrong that children should know how to be own, if the keep participating in group activities they will get knowledge but when it come to face a problem in their life they should know how to deal with it. Many parents sent their children abroad for studies purpose and to become independent, Although they still fear
that if my child is not survive by its own, what if someone scam him? Will he able to slove his problem by his own. That's the only reason i think parents wants their children to be their own so that they can face the today world and never be scared of anyone

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the points about public speaking and independence are mentioned but not fully explored with concrete examples or deeper analysis. The position is clear, but the overall structure lacks the depth required for a higher band. To improve, you should aim to expand on your arguments with more specific illustrations or logical consequences, ensuring that each paragraph contributes significantly to the overall discussion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the flow of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite limited and sometimes mechanical. Phrases like 'on the other hand' are used, but the transition between sentences is often abrupt, making the progression of ideas feel disjointed. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the use of 'it' or 'they' without a precise antecedent. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision expected at higher levels. You rely on basic terms like 'good' or 'things' and struggle with collocations, such as 'survive by its own' instead of 'survive on their own'. There are also instances of word-choice errors that slightly impede the flow, such as 'slove' (solve) and 'whearver' (wherever). To reach a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct context, rather than relying on repetitive or overly simple phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'parents wants'), incorrect pronoun usage (e.g., 'if my child is not survive'), and punctuation errors. These errors are noticeable and occasionally make the meaning difficult to grasp. While you attempt complex sentences, they are often faulty, which limits your score in this criterion. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy and proofreading for common errors like verb tense and pluralisation will help improve your score significantly.
