Student answer (Band 6.0)

"It is considered by handful of falks that children should be encouraged by their parents to take part in group activities, whether some believe that Chilebren should be allowed to what they want to do. This essay will discuss both phenomenon as per their wish. before reaching to any conclusion, but I believe that parents should encourage their children rather than leaving it on them.

On the one hand, among the myriad of reasons why parents involvement is predominant, the first one is that parents plays an important role In overall growth of children. To elaborate it mare, parents know this very well that what is wrong and right for their kids so they can choose the best for them because if children will to use their time. according to their will wish, they might be taka wrong decisions. For example, as we know that today generation is more likely to spond their time on social media In this situation, if parents will not enterfere, they will not participate in physical activities. As a result, it will not be wrong to say involvement of parents is extremely vital when it comes to decide about Children's leisure time schedule.

On the other hand, allowing children to learn how they can use their fra time is essential, because it helps them to bo independent, firstly. In their free time they can do any activity as other wards, when children will do whatever they want and make decisions, they may tend to be more responsible and independent at the same time. Furthermore, they can explore their interests and develop creativity. For example, if kid is interested in drawing, he would Improve this skill in free time, consequently.

In conclusion, although this is also. beneficial if we allow adolescence to do whatever they want, but In my perspective, parents should definitely take decisions on the behalf of them unless they grow.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding children learning to be independent is mentioned but not fully explored with sufficient depth or specific examples. The essay covers all parts of the prompt, but the reasoning is occasionally repetitive, and some points, such as the mention of 'adolescence' in the conclusion, are not well-integrated with the previous discussion about 'children'. The position is consistent, but the supporting arguments would benefit from more detailed elaboration to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'Furthermore', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'as other wards' or 'as per their wish'. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences is sometimes disrupted by grammatical errors. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that ideas follow one another more naturally.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several spelling errors (e.g., 'falks', 'Chilebren', 'mare', 'spond', 'enterfere', 'fra') and incorrect word choices (e.g., 'phenomenon' used incorrectly, 'on the behalf of them'). While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the range is limited, and the errors occasionally distract the reader. To improve, the student should focus on accurate spelling and learning common collocations related to parenting and child development rather than relying on basic or misused terminology.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there is a high frequency of grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('parents plays', 'kid is'), article usage, and awkward phrasing ('if children will to use their time'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary full stops in the middle of sentences (e.g., '...essential, because it helps them to bo independent, firstly. In their free time...'). While the meaning is generally clear, the persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevent the response from achieving a higher score.
