Student answer (Band 6.0)

Children are the future of society. Parents encourage them to be the best version of themselves where they argue in making them involved by participating in group activities or learning on their own. Both depicts different view but I think group activities can give more benefits.

On one side of the spectrum, group activities directly highlight the power of working in unity. Each child has their own special abilities and skills if they work together. The tasks will be more creative with their creative minds. For instance, teacher encourage their students to perform the group activity to check the level of confidence and their cooperative nature. Secondly, the sense of competitiveness among individuals will help them to strengthen their skills and how to improve while learning and getting understanding through watching other participants.

Without any qualms, Each Child is god gifted and hence sometimes its better to not to get involved and let them grow and build their life according to their wish. Children are fickle-minded and hence they must spend their childhood performing their own work to avoid any nuisance for instance, 85% of the child hate to share his space with other individuals. Another reason is they lose the level of confidence if they see other children is doing well a feeling of inferiority is been witnessed among the children. So its better to avoid activities together.

children should be nutured well. They must decide on their own as their age must be free of any pressure or responsibilites but I think participation in oranised group activites give more benefits due to cooperative skills.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the argument regarding children preferring to be alone is supported by a questionable statistic ('85% of the child hate to share'), which lacks credibility and depth. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the points made. To reach a higher band, you should focus on providing more logical, well-reasoned explanations rather than relying on unsupported claims or generalizations. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments need more academic rigor and depth.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Without any qualms' to introduce a new paragraph, which does not fit the context well. There are also issues with referencing; for instance, the transition between the benefits of group activities and the drawbacks is abrupt. While there is a logical progression, the connections between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used in the correct context would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choices, such as 'god gifted' (should be 'gifted'), 'fickle-minded' (used incorrectly in this context), and 'nuisance' (which does not accurately describe the situation). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on basic descriptors. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic collocations and avoid informal or inaccurate expressions. Expanding your range to include more topic-specific vocabulary related to child development and social interaction would be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('teacher encourage', '85% of the child hate'), incorrect article usage, and awkward sentence construction ('a feeling of inferiority is been witnessed'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy, particularly subject-verb agreement and verb tenses, is essential for improvement.
