Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention teamwork and independence, the supporting examples, such as the reference to 'corporate offices', are a bit generic and could be more effectively linked to the development of children. Additionally, the conclusion is incomplete, which impacts the overall task completion. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph fully explores the implications of the points raised and always provide a complete, well-rounded conclusion that synthesizes your arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use transition signals like 'Moving towards the former view' and 'Moving onto another point' to guide the reader. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the final sentence where the text cuts off abruptly. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next will help elevate your score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'inter-connection', 'tactics', and 'independent'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'I am majorly agree' instead of 'I largely agree' and 'taking participation' instead of 'participating'. Some phrases are repetitive, and there are minor errors in word formation (e.g., 'self independent'). To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure that your vocabulary choices are natural and contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('children learns', 'offices always hire those candidate which are able'), incorrect verb forms ('can lead to self independent'), and punctuation errors. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex structures are formed accurately.
