Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays, parents think that their children should socialize more by being a part of group activities so that they can keep themselves engaged in their available time. While others believe that it is crucial for infants to learn to enjoy their own company if there's no one available to spend time with them. In my opinion, children should socialize more because they will get a chance to learn new things and sometimes staying alone cannot reduce stress.
Firstly, if children take part in social activities they will learn to spend time with others and it will also bring some sense of being a part of community and how to behave themselves among a group of people. For instance, some schools organize tree plantation day once a year and if parents encourage their children to take a part in this kind of social activity they will learn how to take care of the environment. In India, many societies organize 'Swachh Bharat' group activity where people go on particular streets and clean it themselves by picking up rubbish thrown on streets which not only makes the society or the part of the country clean but it will also inspire others to keep their surroundings clean. It is understandable that some parents are extra careful and do not want their children to be a part of these kind of activities because children might fall sick but I think it will make them more stronger in future and more aware about keeping society clean.
Additionally, by being a part of group activities children will be able to make more friends and remain stress free because friendship is very important in everyone's life. Sometimes, a child may not be comfortable with sharing things their parents or a family member due to fear of being judged but a good friend will not only actively listen but also provide advice which can release some stress from a child's mind. There could be some instances where children may learn evil things if they find a bad friendship and therefore parents think that children should occupy themselves on their own but that is very rare.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that children should be encouraged to become a part of organized group activities because it makes them disciplined as well as help them make new friends which will be beneficial in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have addressed all parts of the prompt by discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. Your position is consistent throughout the essay. The ideas are relevant, particularly the examples regarding community service and the social benefits of friendship. However, the development of the opposing view—that children should learn to occupy themselves—is somewhat limited compared to the arguments for group activities. To reach a higher band, ensure that the counter-argument is explored with equal depth, perhaps by discussing the benefits of solitude for creativity or self-reliance, rather than just dismissing it as a concern about 'bad friendships'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Additionally', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader through your arguments. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. However, some transitions between sentences are slightly mechanical, and the referencing could be more precise in places. For example, the link between the 'Swachh Bharat' example and the broader point about social responsibility could be tightened to improve the flow of ideas. Overall, the progression of your argument is easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'socialize', 'community', and 'disciplined'. However, there are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'make them more stronger' (should be 'stronger') and 'learn evil things' (which is slightly unnatural; 'negative influences' would be better). To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations and less common lexical items to show greater precision. Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the flexibility and natural control required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is always clear, there are recurring grammatical errors that prevent a higher score. For instance, there are issues with articles ('a part of community' should be 'a part of the community') and subject-verb agreement or pluralization ('these kind of activities' should be 'these kinds of activities'). Additionally, the phrase 'make them more stronger' is a double comparative error. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to suggest that your control over complex structures is not yet fully consistent.
