Student answer (Band 6.0)
Quite a few individuals suggest that parents need to motivate their kin and kith to participate in extra curriculum activities, whenever they have extra time. Contrarily, others argue that it is essential for kids to understand how to deal with problems by themselves. However, I believe that taking part in sports, team-projects will have more benefits than understanding themselves.
In this busy lifestyles, it would be more beneficial for them to work together with their friends, classmates. Additionally, doing this will assist them in working as a team, and develop their communication skills. Lately, I was reading a report that finds the number of children take part in school or group activities have higher IQ than the children who spend too much time on themselves. Furthermore, the evidence also shows that nature of those children become more uncooperative, unhappy, and rude towards their parents. Lastly, it is proven that kids needs a little push from their parents to take part in these activities to develop vital skills which are going to play gigantic role in future.
Contrarily, the second group of kids might be able to discover their goals, interest, and hobbies better then first batch of children. However, these skills can be discovered with time as well. In addition, a research suggest that the kids who learn how to do things on their own, make more productive results when it comes to playing sports, like; chess. They might be able to develop some skills that are rare but overall it is not much beneficial.
To put it in a nutshell, as we all know everything comes with pros and cons. In the topic we discussed above, I believe that the kids who take part in social activities have shown stronger signs of team work, advanced communicational skills, and accurate results.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the benefits of group activities are supported with arguments about teamwork and communication, the discussion of the opposing view is less developed and relies on vague claims, such as the idea that solitary children become 'uncooperative' or 'rude'. The argument regarding the benefits of solitary play is also slightly contradictory, as you suggest it is 'not much beneficial' after mentioning it helps with goal discovery. To reach a higher band, ensure that both sides of the argument are explored with equal depth and logical consistency.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use cohesive devices such as 'Additionally', 'Furthermore', and 'To put it in a nutshell' to link your points. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the link between group activities and IQ is stated as a fact without specific context. The use of punctuation, particularly the semicolon usage in the third paragraph, is incorrect, which slightly disrupts the flow of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'participate', 'communication skills', and 'productive results'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choices or non-idiomatic phrasing, such as 'kin and kith' (which is an archaic idiom not suited for this context), 'extra curriculum' (should be 'extracurricular'), and 'gigantic role' (which is less precise than 'significant' or 'pivotal'). While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the precision of your expression.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors throughout, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('kids needs', 'a research suggest') and article usage errors ('the number of children take part'). Additionally, there are minor punctuation errors, such as the misuse of the semicolon before 'like'. While these errors are noticeable, they do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of plural/singular nouns.
