Student answer (Band 5.5)
Few individuals believe that the guardians should boost up their offsprings to partake in orderly arranged communal activities in their leisure time. Some other are certain of the idea that it is significant for youngsters to comprehend how to reside themselves on the their own. Group activities help childrens to develop discipline as well as confidence. This essay will discuss the role of parents advise on group activities before i conclude it my opinion.
Taking part in organised group activities in free time helps children to build their character. It boosts their confidence level and makes them disciplined in every aspects of life. Parents are very well aware of what is important for their children and what is detrimental. So their advise to their children to partake in organised group activities plays a vital role in the children's character, confidence, discipline and life.
Contrary to other fact, it is necessary for children to master how to hold themselves on their own in a way because it will make them independent and confident. They will be able to take every decision on their own and would hold themselves responsible for every choice. They would master financial as well as time management.
In my opinion, parents should encourage their children to take part in group activities to a define age until they reach the age where they know what's better for them and what's adverse for them. Then, they would become able to make every judgmental conclusion on their own.
In conclusion, despite both the points are valid i quite believe that children should be allowed to make decision on their own and their parents should also completely support them in their good decisions and should advise them if they are making a harmful choice somehow.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the arguments regarding group activities and independent play are stated but lack specific examples or deep analysis to fully support the claims. The conclusion is slightly contradictory, as it shifts focus to general decision-making rather than directly synthesising the two views discussed. To reach a higher band, you should provide more concrete examples and ensure your position is consistently maintained and clearly linked to the arguments presented throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'Contrary to other fact' and 'In my opinion, parents should encourage their children to take part in group activities to a define age'. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the transitions between sentences could be smoother to improve the flow of the argument. Referencing is generally clear, but some phrasing, such as 'before i conclude it my opinion', is awkward and disrupts the logical flow of the introduction.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are several instances of imprecise word choice and non-standard collocations. For example, 'boost up their offsprings' is unnatural; 'encourage their children' would be more appropriate. Similarly, 'reside themselves on the their own' is unclear and grammatically incorrect. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, such as 'detrimental' and 'adverse', which is positive, but the overall range is limited. To improve, focus on learning natural collocations and avoiding informal or incorrect phrasing that hinders the precision of your expression.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Some other are certain'), incorrect word forms (e.g., 'to a define age' instead of 'to a defined age'), and misuse of articles or prepositions. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with verb tenses and pluralisation, to ensure your complex sentences are constructed correctly.
