Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this contemporary era, there is an heated argument going on between two societies where, some individuals believe that group activities that are organised by guardien's are crucial for children's overall development, while others think that it is more important for young generation to manage their free time by their own. This essay will discuss both sides of the argument before presenting my viewpoint.
On the one hand side, encouraging teenagers for group activities will teach them practical and social skills. This is because, children can develop teamwork qualities, learn discipline and become more confident. by joining the recreational programs such as dance classes, swimming clubs or drama classes, children can develop teamwork qualities, learn discipline and become more confident. For example, children who plays football regularly learns how to cooperate with team and learn patience.
On the other hand side, numerous people think that it is crucial to teach a child to manage their time independently as it would allow them to think creatively. To demonstrate it, when youngsters are alone and feel bored then they can use their imagination to utilize their time according to their interest which teach them problem-solving skills. Not only this, it can also help them to become more independent as they can make their own decisions without relying on their parents for all time. For instance, a child who read books in their leisure time become more sharp and creative.
In my perspective, a balance approch is more important in this as both will help a child in defferent ways because group activities assist children to do teamwork and teach them desicipline and also if teenagers spend their free time according to their interest then it will help them to use their imagination and become more creative and independent.
To conclude, parents can put their children in recreational activities to help them to develop their skills like teamwork or leadership qualities but parents should need to gave some free time to their children as well so that they can learns how to cope with their own situations in a better way. Therefore, a balanced approch is needed to help children to grow.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on whether children should participate in organised group activities or learn to occupy themselves independently, and clearly presents a personal viewpoint in the conclusion. The ideas are generally relevant and extended, such as mentioning teamwork, discipline, and independent problem-solving skills. However, some arguments feature minor generalisations or slight redundancies, such as repeating that children develop teamwork and discipline within the same paragraph. Overall, the main tenets of the prompt are well-covered, placing the performance comfortably within the Band 6.5 to 7.0 range. Because the ideas are well-developed and the position is clear throughout, a score of 6.5 is well-earned.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is coherent overall with a clear logical progression from introduction to body paragraphs and a concluding summary. Paragraphing is used appropriately, with distinct sections for each viewpoint and the personal opinion. Cohesive devices are employed adequately (e.g., 'On the one hand side', 'On the other hand side', 'To demonstrate it'), though some transitions are slightly mechanical or unidiomatic, such as 'On the one hand side' instead of 'On the one hand'. Referencing is generally clear, though minor repetition in cohesive choices keeps this criterion at a solid functional level. This performance aligns securely with the Band 6 descriptors.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'contemporary era', 'overall development', and 'problem-solving skills'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'an heated argument' instead of 'a heated argument', 'guardien's' instead of 'guardians', 'approch' instead of 'approach', 'defferent' instead of 'different', and 'desicipline' instead of 'discipline'. While these errors do not impede communication, their frequency prevents the score from reaching a higher band. Therefore, a score of 6.0 reflects an adequate range with some persistent lexical inaccuracies.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating attempts at varied structures such as relative clauses ('children who plays football regularly') and conditional structures. However, grammatical inaccuracies are frequent. There are notable subject-verb agreement errors ('children who plays', 'a child who read', 'skills like teamwork or leadership qualities... but parents should need to gave'), punctuation issues, and awkward phrasing ('parents should need to gave some free time'). These errors occasionally create minor friction for the reader, though they rarely impede overall communication. This performance aligns well with the Band 6 descriptors for grammar.
