Student answer (Band 5.0)
Few individuals think that parents want to more encourage their youngsters to participate in organised group in activities in their relax time. Other people think that more important children spending their free time by their self. I will be disscused both veiw and give my opinion in the upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, there are several benefits of children take part in group activities, firstly, if youngones take part in group activities, they can get more knowledge about other children's ideas and also getting more tips about their study. For example, a survey conducted in 2019 in india, it reveled that 70% children are successful in their life because they organised a group activities in their free time.
On the other hand , there are some benefits of children spending time by their self. Some children do not like to spending time or making a group activities due to this they doing all work by their self and getting more knowledge about technolgy gadgets the they became susses.
Furthermore, according to me organised a group activities more benefical for children because they can share their ideas to each other and getting different types of knowledge from them.
In conclusion, although, there are some benefits of children learn by their self but i think take part in group activities are more benefical for children.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views on children's free time and providing a personal opinion, which satisfies the basic requirements of the task. However, the ideas are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence. For instance, the example provided in the second paragraph regarding a 2019 survey in India is vague and unconvincing. Furthermore, the response is only 222 words, failing to meet the minimum requirement of 250 words. This under-length impacts the overall development of ideas, leading to a penalty under Task Achievement. Consequently, the performance aligns best with Band 5.0, where the task is addressed only partially and ideas remain limited and under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay attempts a standard structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and poor logical flow. While cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' are attempted, they are often misused or mechanically applied. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs is weak. Referencing is frequently unclear, such as 'due to this they doing all work by their self'. Overall arrangement shows some organisation, but the overall progression lacks clarity, fitting the Band 5 descriptors.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, frequently relying on simple terms like 'children', 'free time', and 'knowledge'. There are numerous word choice and collocation errors, such as 'relax time' instead of 'relaxation time' or 'free time', 'by their self' instead of 'on their own', and 'organised a group activities' instead of 'organise group activities'. Attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'technolgy gadgets' and 'susses', result in spelling and morphological errors that impede communication at times. The lexical range is limited and minimally adequate, placing this response firmly at Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0 based on positive marking for basic communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The text displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. Most sentences are simple or attempt complex structures that are heavily flawed, resulting in frequent errors that cause difficulty for the reader. Examples include 'parents want to more encourage', 'if youngones take part in group activities, they can get...', and 'it reveled that 70% children are successful'. There are persistent errors in subject-verb agreement, tense consistency, and prepositions. While some basic sentences are formed correctly, the frequency of grammatical errors prevents the response from achieving a higher band, making Band 4.0 the most appropriate descriptor.
