Student answer (Band 5.5)
Several people favors that parents need to inforce their childs to participate in group activities during their free time while other believes that children should learn how to engage in ownself is more important. Both view points are valid at some stance but I I agree with the first opinion and it is mentioned in further paragraphs.
To initialize, the technological era already took away the place of friends and family with the help of devices. Children nowadays not craving for the people of friends to play with, what they ask first is the phone. Virtual gamming made them more stubborn as well as alone but they are not realising this loss. Even the parents currently giving phones to child just because they can do their work peacefully, but they are not understanding that by doing this child is becoming more narrowed in their physical and mental fitness. That why it's important to engage them in group activities by which their overall growth become more fruitful. Group activities can from their mindset and dicision taking capabilities. For instance, in China parents prefer to extend one hour of schooling time for a child in which schools arrange group activities for students so they can learn new skills with their friends and grow together.
Meanwhile, teaching a child to be on ownself is little harsh thesedays, since they already have so much competition in every aspect of life. At some extent it is good to occupy them on their own so they can learn new things and concuqur own battles but parents need to know the end point, otherwise child can become stubborn and lonely. To exemplify, many researches shows that a lonely child become more silent in their growing age.
To conclude, it is good to teach a child that how to engage in ownself yet this approch need some boundries because it can cause a lonely childhood. Whereas, participation in group activities can transform the mindset of a child and help to grow much better in their life which I strongly believe.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The student addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on children's free time activities and clearly stating a personal position in the introduction and conclusion. Ideas are extended with some relevant reasoning and a specific example from China regarding school activities. However, the development tends to be somewhat repetitive, and points occasionally lack depth, fitting the Band 6 descriptors where all parts are addressed though some ideas are slightly under-developed or general. The position is clear throughout, and the essay successfully engages with the prompt's core debate.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay is divided into a clear four-paragraph structure with an introduction, two body paragraphs representing opposing views, and a conclusion. There is a logical overall arrangement and progression of ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'To initialize', 'Meanwhile', and 'To conclude' are used, but some transitions feel mechanical or slightly unnatural, which is characteristic of a Band 6. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as 'that why it's important' and 'this approach need some boundries', yet the text remains generally coherent throughout.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting some less common lexical items like 'stubborn', 'overall growth', and 'concuqur own battles'. However, there are frequent word choice and spelling inaccuracies, such as 'favors' instead of 'favours', 'inforce' instead of 'enforce', 'childs' instead of 'children', 'ownself', 'gamming', and 'boundries'. These errors are noticeable and detract from precision, but they do not impede overall communication, placing this response firmly at Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'Children nowadays not craving for the people of friends...' and 'Whereas, participation in group activities can transform the mindset...'. However, control over grammar is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors involving verb forms, missing auxiliary verbs, prepositions, and plurals (e.g., 'parents currently giving phones', 'child is becoming', 'many researches shows'). These errors require some effort to decode, though meaning is generally preserved, reflecting Band 5 performance.
