Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is often argued that, numerous individuals believed the youngers should know about the team work. Therefore, they need to taking interest in organised group activities in their leisure time. However, another thinking of the society is activies in group of different people are not necessary, they need to engage in different activities without other's involvement. According to my perspective, working in a group is much better then working alone.

Primarily, there are many advantages of working in a team. Likewise, if children are complete any task in a group, it may be help them from connecting people. Moreover, these kind of activities improve the communication skills, that would be vital for their career. As a result, parents who encourage their children to engage in any informative activities, they successfully keep them away from many awful things. Likewise, exessive use of social media.

Secondly, another society thinks that youngers should be learn to engage themselves by their own. From my point of view, this can be results in low confident and less productivity. For instance, if a child in not going and meet with people, he/she can not be aware about the outside world. Furthermore, it might affect her/his future, currently, many jobs required good communication skills, references, and confident employee. Since, alone person could not acheive that requirements, if they did not know anyone. Eventhough, after the job, they are not capable of doing work in a team.

Eventally, both factors are crucial to learn, owing to every individual can face new innovations. Therefore, parents should engage with their children and try to encourage them to learn alone or in a team. Additionally, assist them how to make the spare time productive, by involving with them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on children's activities and providing a personal opinion, which sits at the threshold of partial and developing task response. However, the ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed. For example, the argument that group activities prevent negative behaviours like 'excessive use of social media' is introduced but not fully explained. Similarly, the counter-argument regarding independent play is stated rather than thoroughly explored. The writer's position is clear in the introduction and conclusion, but the supporting arguments lack the depth, extension, and specific examples characteristic of higher bands. To progress, the writer needs to expand on each main idea with more detailed reasoning and fully realised examples rather than relying on brief generalisations.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response demonstrates a basic organisational structure with clear paragraph breaks separating the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. There is some attempt at logical progression, moving from group activities to independent play and then a concluding view. However, overall progression is limited, and cohesive devices are frequently inadequate, repetitive, or mechanical. For instance, the transition words 'Primarily', 'Secondly', and 'Eventally' (eventually) are used to signal sequence, but referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun shifts and vague links in phrases like 'this can be results in'. Paragraphing is present, but the internal flow within paragraphs is disrupted by clunky transitions and repetitive phrasing like 'Likewise'. To achieve a higher level, the writer must ensure smoother logical transitions between sentences and employ a more varied and accurate range of cohesive devices.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task, with noticeable errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'communication skills', 'productive', and 'innovations', but these are often accompanied by word-choice, collocation, or word-form inaccuracies, such as 'youngers', 'activies', 'exessive', and 'acheive'. Additionally, there are frequent strain points caused by awkward phrasing, such as 'connecting people' instead of 'connecting with people' or 'making the spare time productive'. To reach the next band, the writer needs to expand their lexical repertoire, improve spelling accuracy, and demonstrate a much stronger control of word forms and natural collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on basic patterns with frequent attempts at complex sentences that are almost always faulty. There are persistent errors in verb forms, tenses, subject-verb agreement, and articles throughout the text, such as 'numerous individuals believed', 'the youngers should know about the team work', 'if children are complete', and 'a child in not going and meet'. Frequent errors in prepositions and clause structures, such as 'can not be aware about' and 'Since, alone person could not acheive', cause noticeable difficulty for the reader. To improve, the writer must focus on mastering fundamental grammatical patterns, reducing basic agreement and tense errors, and ensuring that complex sentence attempts are constructed accurately.
