Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that children should be encouraged by their parents to participate in group activties in their spare time, while some people believe that learners should spend their leisure time alone in order to work on themselves. This essay will discuss both the perspectives before giving my own opinion.
The advantage of children taking part in well-organised group activites is that they will learn to cooperate and coordinate with other learners. To eradicate this, they will perform the activity in team while ensuring all members are participating equally and actively in the given task. As a result, this will help them to do team-work. Therefore, they will to communicate properly by expressing their point of views to all group members.
However, the benefits of children spending their spare time alone is that they will get to know more about themselves. To explicate this, the learners can do meditation and concentrate on their own contellectual thinking abilites. They will get enough time to think about their future such as what they want to do in their life or what they are aiming to become. Meditating alone can also help their body feel calm and relaxed. Hence, they can do leisure activities alone to enhance their internal strength to stay calm when facing difficult situations alone.
According to my perspective, I partially agree with both the above views. Children should partially spend their free time on both the acitvities. They can make proper schedule to timelines to spend the whatever pecentage of time on group tasks while rest of time alone because both plays an essential role to sharp their mind.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and state a clear, balanced position: children should spend time on both group and individual activities. The discussion of group activities gives relevant benefits, especially cooperation and communication, while the individual-activity paragraph adds self-understanding, reflection, and calmness. However, some points are not fully explained. For example, “To eradicate this” does not clearly connect to the benefit of cooperation, and the final opinion says children should divide their time without explaining how this balance helps them. Develop each main idea with a clear explanation or a specific example, and make the link between the example and your argument explicit. This would make the response more fully developed across all parts of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding opinion. Transitions such as “However,” “As a result,” and “According to my perspective” help signal the direction of the discussion, and the ideas generally progress in a logical order. This shows effective organisation, though cohesion is not always smooth. For instance, “To eradicate this” does not clearly refer to the preceding idea, and the conclusion introduces scheduling without a clear link to the earlier discussion. Some linking phrases also feel formulaic. To strengthen progression, use references that clearly identify the idea being discussed and connect each explanation directly to the paragraph’s main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “cooperate,” “coordinate,” “leisure activities,” and “internal strength.” There are also attempts to use less common expressions, such as “enhance” and “perspectives.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning unclear: “To eradicate this,” “contellectual thinking abilites,” and “make proper schedule to timelines” are examples. Spelling errors such as “activties,” “acitvities,” and “pecentage” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural combinations rather than choosing complex-sounding words; for example, explain that group activities help children “develop teamwork skills” and that quiet activities can “improve concentration.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses with “while,” “because,” and “such as,” and most of the main ideas remain understandable. Some grammatical errors nevertheless affect clarity. In “the benefits … is,” the plural subject requires “are”; “they will to communicate” should be “they will communicate”; and “both plays” should be “both play.” The final sentence also has an incomplete or unclear construction: “spend the whatever pecentage of time on group tasks while rest of time alone.” Use a simpler, complete structure, such as “They can schedule time for group activities and reserve the rest for individual pursuits.” Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence completeness when revising.
