Student answer (Band 5.5)

Recreational activities have integeral role in shaping an individula's life. some proponents claim that legal care takers must motivate their progenies to get involved in team play in their leisure time, while others oppose this idology by stating that they should opt according to their choice. I will shed light on both the views along with my opinion in the upcoming paragraphs.

According to the first idology, it is apprehend that parents should teach their children to take apart in group activities as they can understand the psycological needs of their children and can provide ambience according to it to make them blessing at large. Another noteworthy point of consideration is that, only parents can inculcate good manners like caring and sharing the things among their offsprings by getting them involved in social activities during their sapre time. Furthermore, children are immature at this phase of life and cannot get right decisions therefore involvement of gurdians can add benifits to organised team activities under their suppervision. l

According to the later idology, it is considered that children should give the authority to enroll in activities according to their choice so that they can enough capable to think about , what is good and bad for them. Not only this, it is ackwoledge that group selected by their parents for activities may be do not like by the kids as they have interest on others activities or they donot like the team members those selected by their parents. last but not least, it is the sole responsibility of their legal care takers donot spoil the free time of their kids even give them chance to explore their potentials on social front.

To recapitulate, I would reckon that parents should take sagacious advice towards organising the activities by keeping the interest and capabilities of their offsprings in order to gain holistic growth with resplendent walk of life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both perspectives: the first body paragraph explains how organised activities may teach sharing and manners, while the second argues that children should choose activities and explore their abilities. Your conclusion also gives a position, recommending that parents consider children’s interests and capabilities. However, the discussion remains partly under-developed. For example, the claim that parents understand children’s “psychological needs” is not explained with a concrete consequence or example, and the case for independent choice is expressed mainly as a concern about unsuitable groups. Your opinion is clearest in the conclusion but is not fully established earlier. Develop each view with a specific example and explain more directly how much guidance, versus independence, you support.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a concluding opinion. The signposts “According to the first ideology” and “According to the later ideology” help readers follow the discussion, and ideas within each paragraph generally relate to its main point. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some stronger progression. However, linking is sometimes mechanical, with repeated “Furthermore,” “Not only this,” and “last but not least,” and the long sentences in the second body paragraph make relationships between ideas harder to track. The conclusion also introduces a broad recommendation without clearly summarising the balance of the two views. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make each paragraph’s reasoning progress in shorter, clearly connected steps.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related and less common vocabulary, including “inculcate,” “holistic growth,” and “explore their potentials,” showing ambition beyond basic wording. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, word forms, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning difficult to interpret. Examples include “integeral role,” “team play,” “make them blessing at large,” and “sagacious advice towards organising.” Several expressions sound overly formal or do not convey the intended idea naturally. Aim for precise, familiar collocations before choosing elaborate vocabulary: for instance, “take part in team activities,” “develop social skills,” and “make informed decisions.” Proofreading spelling and checking whether each phrase is idiomatic would make your ideas clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “while,” “as,” and “so that,” and you use some varied sentence openings. However, control is inconsistent: complex structures often contain several grammatical problems, and these can obscure meaning. For example, “children should give the authority to enroll” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “the group selected by their parents … may be do not like by the kids” has faulty clause construction and verb forms. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence punctuation, such as the lower-case sentence openings and the stray “l” after the first body paragraph. Practise building accurate shorter sentences first, then combine them with one subordinate clause at a time. Check verb patterns, agreement, and sentence boundaries during revision.
