Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this modern world, saying children to go for an organised group activities in their spare time is wise thinking, but some of the individuals think that this is the bad idea. In my opinion, it is very usefull and make them a skillfull individual in every posible way. In this essay i will discuss both views and my side with the clear example.

Firstly, learning is always helpfull even if it is paid or free, but whenever you got a chance to take part in any group activity which is organised in some way then we should definately send our child on that. This will not help them to become experienced in that particular field but also give them chance to re-evalute with others which i think is vital for their overall personality development. For example: If an individual take part in making an model with their friends, he or she is not learnig only how thing will made but they also learn how to behave well and how to express thing in more precise way.

On the other hand, If we give child an option to chose what they want to do in free time there is a possiblity that he can take some time but they will chose own way which help them to think differently as compare to others which is some time important. For instance: The children who thinks differently with their classmates, will eventually become founders and enterpreneur in those fileds which help save our nature or society because they spent their time on those thing which others miss.

Overall, It is very rare to some teenagers to chose their path and become successfull. In my opinion by putting adolscents into skillfull activities help them because they are not as experienced as the seniors who already wishing to go back on time and do these kind of things in their liesure time.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both organised group activities and children occupying themselves independently, and your opinion—that organised activities are beneficial—is stated in the introduction and reinforced in the conclusion. The examples about building a model with friends and children developing different ideas are relevant. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the benefits of group activities are explained more clearly, while the independent-activity argument is less precise, particularly the claim that children who “think differently” may become founders. The conclusion also introduces teenagers choosing their own path without clearly resolving the comparison between the two views. To strengthen the response, explain more directly what children gain from independent play and weigh that benefit against the social and practical skills developed in groups.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding paragraph. “Firstly” and “On the other hand” help signal the change in argument, and examples are placed alongside the relevant points. Overall, the reader can follow the main direction. However, progression within some paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from learning generally to group activities and then to personality development without clearly linking each step. References such as “this,” “they,” and “those things” can also be unclear. The conclusion does not fully bring the two sides together. Use clearer links between claims and examples, and make each paragraph develop one central point in a more deliberate sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “organised group activities,” “personality development,” “express,” and “think differently,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts to use more specific terms such as “entrepreneurs” and “overall.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts of the response difficult to interpret. Phrases such as “re-evalute with others,” “making an model,” and “save our nature” are unclear or unnatural, while misspellings such as “usefull” and “posiblity” are noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural combinations rather than more ambitious wording: for example, describe children as “collaborating with peers” or “developing independent thinking,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional construction in “If we give child an option…” and a relative clause in “activities which is organised.” These attempts show some range, but complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make several sentences hard to follow. Examples include “learning is always helpfull,” “an individual take part,” and “he or she is not learnig,” where verb forms or agreement are incorrect. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “a child,” “an model,” and “these kind of things.” Sentence boundaries and capitalisation need attention too, particularly the capitalised “If” and “It” after commas. Practise building accurate clauses before adding further complexity.
