Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both perspectives and state a clear preference in the conclusion: children should take part in group activities. The first view has relevant reasons, including communication, leadership and problem-solving skills, but these points are only briefly explained. The opposing view is much less developed: saying children can master a favourite skill and become “quite, calm” does not clearly explain why independent leisure is valuable or give a supporting example. The introduction also promises examples, but the discussion provides little specific support; the reference to a newspaper survey is vague. The response is 29 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop both sides. Explain each view more fully and support it with a concrete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” helps readers follow the main direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes abrupt. For example, the claim that group activities develop problem-solving is followed by an incomplete explanation beginning “As children start facing the problem.” The second viewpoint also consists of several short claims without showing how they connect. Some linking phrases feel formulaic, and “This part of the essay will discuss” announces the structure rather than advancing the argument. Build clearer links between each claim, its explanation and its example, and use referencing that makes the relationship between ideas explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “leadership,” “problem solving,” “personal favourite skill,” and “leisure time.” There are also attempts to use more formal expressions, such as “cultivate” and “participate.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “must stands out alone,” “emphasize on teaching,” and “being in own.” Spelling errors such as “comunication,” “survay,” and “inteligent” are noticeable and reduce the accuracy of the writing. Aim for natural combinations such as “encourage children to develop teamwork skills” and “spend time independently.” More precise vocabulary would help distinguish the benefits of group activities from those of independent play.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a sentence with “by participating” and one beginning “As children start…”. However, control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “children must stands out alone,” where the verb form is incorrect, and “These skills can helps,” where the modal should be followed by the base form. The sentence “As children start facing the problem…” is a dependent clause presented as a complete sentence. There are also issues with articles, agreement and plurals, as in “a optimum choice” and “a group activities.” Practise complete sentence construction and check subject–verb agreement, verb forms after modals, and article use.
