Dear sir,

I am writing this letter to advice some ideas for the reception area compaints by visitors. This is the main entrance where people see our companies first expresssion.

There are several complaints like sitting area is not clean and untidy all the time. There is no souce of activities for the visitors those have to wait for their turn. However, chairs are also not available because people feel tied when they stand in the queue.

Reception area is most important in the company because when some one entre they firstly check in from entrance.Clean and tidy atomsphere increase the company reputation. When all needs provided by company visitors feel happy and comfortable.

I am very greatful you choose me to suggest ideas for recetion improvement.Firstly we have to arrange proper chairs and tables. Then put magzines and newspaper on the table. Arrange water or some drinks for the individuals.

Thank you for giving me this opporunity.

Your sincerely,

Harman

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three points in the task: you identify complaints about cleanliness, a lack of activities and insufficient seating; explain that reception creates visitors’ first impression and affects the company’s reputation; and suggest chairs, tables, reading materials and refreshments. This gives the letter a clear, relevant purpose. Some points are less fully developed than others: for example, you mention visitors waiting but do not explain how long they wait or how the proposed magazines and drinks would help. The suggestions are also presented briefly rather than linked directly to each complaint. To strengthen the response, explain the impact of each problem and show how each recommendation would resolve it, while maintaining a suitably professional tone.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it introduces the purpose, describes the complaints, explains the importance of reception, and then offers recommendations. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and words such as “Firstly” and “Then” make the suggestions easy to follow. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “However” does not clearly contrast with the preceding point, and the transition from the importance of reception to the recommendations could be smoother. Several ideas are also crowded together without consistent spacing after full stops, which makes the progression harder to read. Use clearer links between each complaint and its solution, and ensure each paragraph develops one connected part of the letter.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “reception area,” “visitors,” “reputation,” “queue,” and “comfortable,” so the main message is understandable. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling or word-choice errors reduce precision, such as “compaints,” “souce of activities,” “atomsphere,” and “recetion.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “company’s first expression” and “arrange water or some drinks.” These issues fit a level where vocabulary is sufficient to communicate basic ideas but control is inconsistent. Build a bank of accurate phrases for formal suggestions and visitor facilities, and check spelling carefully. More precise wording will make the letter sound clearer and more professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, such as “Clean and tidy atomsphere increase the company reputation,” and you use a reason clause in “because when some one entre they firstly check in from entrance.” This shows an effort to vary sentence forms, but the range remains limited and errors are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to process. Examples include missing articles and incorrect agreement in “Clean and tidy … increase,” as well as the awkward clause structure in “because when … they firstly check in.” Punctuation and spacing around sentence boundaries are also inconsistent. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses, checking articles, subject–verb agreement and sentence boundaries.
