Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the prompt: reminding the businessman of your meeting, stating your job interest, and explaining your suitability. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although the opening 'Dear Sir' is slightly generic given you met the person. The ideas are relevant, though the development is somewhat brief. To improve, you could provide more specific details about your previous experience to better persuade the reader of your suitability. Overall, you have fulfilled the requirements of the task effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter follows a logical progression, moving from the introduction to the specific request and then to your qualifications. You use some cohesive devices like 'First of all', 'Moreover', and 'Additionally' to link your ideas. However, the paragraphing is somewhat disjointed, and some transitions feel a bit mechanical. The flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus. The referencing is generally clear, allowing the reader to follow your narrative without confusion.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, but there are several spelling errors, such as 'remid' (remind), 'Vancover' (Vancouver), 'requried' (required), 'helpfull' (helpful), 'realy' (really), 'appriciale' (appreciate), and 'condederation' (consideration). These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable. While you attempt to use some professional vocabulary like 'occupation' and 'application', the range is limited. To reach a higher band, focus on accurate spelling and incorporating more precise professional terminology related to the hospitality industry.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

There are several grammatical issues throughout the letter, including 'regarding to apply a job' (regarding applying for a job), 'my mature very kind' (my nature is very kind), and 'I look forward hearing' (I look forward to hearing). You rely mostly on simple sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, the frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents a higher score. You should focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions to improve your accuracy.
