Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5

The letter successfully addresses all three bullet points of the prompt. You clearly identify the context of the meeting, specify the desired role, and provide relevant reasons for your suitability, such as your five years of experience and your hotel management qualification. The tone is generally appropriate for a professional follow-up letter, although it could be slightly more formal. The ideas are relevant and sufficiently developed to meet the requirements of the task. To improve, ensure that your opening and closing are more standard for a formal business letter, as the current phrasing is slightly informal for a professional context.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized into distinct paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points easily. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition to', 'Moreover', and 'To conclude' to link your ideas. However, some of these transitions are slightly mechanical or grammatically awkward, such as 'In addition to I can manage'. The referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that the transition between your experience and your desire to work for his company is smoother.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for this task, using terms like 'manager role', 'communication skills', and 'hotel management course'. However, there are some noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'get a job which I'm interested in your restaurant' (should be 'apply for a position at your restaurant') and 'build a carrier' (should be 'career'). Additionally, the phrase 'respected position' is slightly unnatural in this context. Focusing on more precise professional terminology and correcting spelling errors like 'carrier' instead of 'career' will help you achieve a higher band score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. For example, 'I am Gulshan who met you in a plane journey' lacks the necessary article ('on a plane journey'), and 'All though In want' contains a spelling error and an incorrect conjunction. There are also issues with prepositions and sentence fragments, such as 'In addition to I can manage'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to limit your score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct sentence construction will be beneficial.
