IELTS Writing Task 1 question

During a recent plane journey, you sat next to a businessman who owns a chain of restaurants. You talked to him and he suggested that you should contact him about a possible job in one of his restaurants.

Write a letter to this businessman. In your letter

• remind him when and where you met
• tell him what kind of job you are interested in
• say why you think you would be suitable for the job

Dear Mr. Smith,

My name is Smit and I am writing to request more information regarding the job opportunity you mentioned about your restaurants during our flight journey.

The flight was departed from India to Canada. During the journey, I came to know about the job opportunity at one of your well-known restaurants.

I have studied and gained experience in hospitality management. This year I have successfully completed 11 years at the position of a district supervisor.

Not only do I have experience but also proven techniques and well-connect networks with suppliers in the district. That is why I am looking forward to work with you with the position of district supervisor, so I can bring a lot of expertise to your company.
