Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: reminding the businessman of your meeting, stating your interest in a job, and explaining your suitability. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although the opening 'Dear sir' should be 'Dear Mr [Name]' or 'Dear Sir/Madam'. The ideas are relevant and clearly presented. To improve, ensure you expand slightly more on your professional achievements to make your candidacy more compelling. You have successfully covered the requirements of the task, and the purpose of the letter is clear throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is logically organized, with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'I am also looking for' and 'now I will be waiting'. However, the paragraphing is somewhat weak; the second and third paragraphs are quite dense and could be better separated to improve readability. Some transitions between sentences feel a bit mechanical. To reach a higher band, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, distinct idea to create a smoother flow of information.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'advertisement', 'candidate', and 'leadership skills'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'do settlement' (should be 'settle down') and 'communicate regarding job position' (should be 'discussed a job position'). There are also minor errors in capitalization and punctuation, such as 'komal' and 'i'. To improve, focus on using more precise professional terminology and ensure consistent attention to standard English conventions regarding proper nouns and the first-person pronoun.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. For example, 'if you remember that we met first time' is awkward; 'I hope you will be think about it' contains a tense error (should be 'I hope you will think about it'). There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'I have 2 year experience' (should be '2 years of experience'). While these errors do not prevent communication, they are frequent enough to limit your score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage.
