Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You clearly reminded the recipient of the meeting context, specified the desired role, and provided relevant background regarding your experience and qualifications. The tone is appropriate for a formal business letter, and the purpose of the communication is clear from the outset. To improve further, you could expand slightly on why you are specifically interested in this particular restaurant chain, which would add a more personal touch and demonstrate greater engagement with the task requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter follows a logical structure, with each paragraph serving a distinct purpose. You have used some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Consequently', and 'In addition to it' to link your ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or forced. For instance, 'To being with' is grammatically incorrect and disrupts the flow. Additionally, the paragraphing is clear, but the connection between the final sentence and the preceding information could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used naturally will help elevate your score in this criterion.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for this task, using terms like 'professional experience', 'qualifications', and 'consideration'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. For example, 'have an conversation' should be 'have a conversation', and 'offer me to contact you' is unnatural; a better phrasing would be 'suggested that I contact you'. While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your message clearly, you need to focus on more precise collocations and avoid minor errors in word formation to reach a higher band score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are several grammatical errors that persist throughout the text. Examples include 'To being with' (should be 'To begin with'), 'in restaurant of Toronto' (missing article 'a' and preposition 'in'), and 'I had 2 years of diploma' (should be 'I hold a diploma'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement, correct article usage, and verb tense consistency will significantly improve your accuracy.
