Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The letter addresses all three bullet points required by the prompt. You successfully identified the context of the meeting, specified the desired role (Human Resources Manager), and provided reasons for your suitability. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention your degree and skills like 'coordination' and 'organization', these points are stated rather than fully explained or linked to the specific needs of a restaurant business. To reach a higher band, try to elaborate on how your specific skills would benefit a restaurant environment, rather than just listing them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your message. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For example, the transition 'As I mentioned before' is a bit abrupt, and there are issues with referencing, such as 'I writing in regards of what kind of job roll I can truly justified.' The flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'given that') to create a smoother progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and variety expected at higher levels. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'job roll' instead of 'job role', 'pin my CV' instead of 'attached my CV', and 'justified' used incorrectly in place of 'perform' or 'excel'. While your meaning is generally clear, these errors and the limited range of vocabulary prevent a higher score. Focus on learning common collocations related to professional correspondence to improve your accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter, including issues with verb tense ('I had been working' should be 'I worked'), article usage ('in local company' should be 'in a local company'), and sentence structure ('We had conversation that I should contact you letter'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are noticeable and occur across a range of structures. You should focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles to improve your accuracy. Attempting more complex sentence structures while ensuring they are error-free would also help raise your score.
