Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task. You successfully reminded the recipient of the meeting, identified the desired job, and explained your suitability. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While you mention your internship and skills, the tone is occasionally informal and lacks the professional polish expected in a business letter. For example, phrases like 'help to my family' are slightly irrelevant to the professional context. To reach a higher band, ensure that all supporting details are strictly focused on your professional qualifications and the value you can add to the recipient's business.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Moreover' and 'As I know', to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the opening paragraph where the timeline is a bit disjointed. The transition between your skills and your social media proposal is abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between your personal background and your professional value proposition would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'internship', 'vacancy', and 'punctual'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'flight journey' (instead of 'flight'), 'done my graduation' (instead of 'graduated'), and 'handle all staffs' (staff is an uncountable noun). These errors do not impede communication, but they limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on learning common collocations used in professional correspondence and ensure you are using nouns and verbs in their correct forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including missing articles ('in five-start hotel'), incorrect preposition usage ('help to my family'), and tense inconsistencies. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas and periods. While the meaning remains clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage to improve the accuracy of your complex sentences.
