Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The letter successfully addresses all three bullet points of the prompt. You clearly identified the context of the meeting (a plane journey from Thailand), specified the desired role (Admin officer or assistant), and provided relevant reasons for your suitability, such as your educational background and practical experience. The tone is appropriate for a professional follow-up letter. To reach a higher band, ensure that all ideas are fully developed; for instance, you could have elaborated slightly more on how your specific skills would benefit his restaurant chain, rather than just stating you have the certificates. Overall, the task requirements are met effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter follows a logical structure with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a closing. Each paragraph focuses on a specific aspect of the prompt, which helps the reader follow your message easily. You use some cohesive devices such as 'During our conversation' and 'I have attached my resume'. However, the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words. Some transitions feel slightly mechanical or abrupt. Improving the use of cohesive devices to connect your ideas more fluidly would elevate this score.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'practicum', 'consideration', and 'discussion'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'I am recently graduate' (should be 'I am a recent graduate') and 'hands-on-hand experience' (should be 'hands-on experience'). Additionally, 'well maintained' is not the correct term to describe a person's professional presentation; 'well-presented' or 'professional' would be more appropriate. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise professional collocations would help you achieve a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. Examples include 'this is Ridhi I am writing' (a run-on sentence), 'I am recently graduate' (missing article and incorrect word form), and 'all the required certificated' (should be 'certificates'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma splices. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Increasing the frequency of error-free complex sentences will help you move into the higher band range.
