Dear Mr. Johan,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to remind you that we talked recently on the plane regarding a possible job on your food chains.
I am Vergel Lozano, If you could still remember, we both took the flight at Philippine Airline last September 1, bound to London. I sat next to you. As flight goes by we talked about many things and you told me that you have a chain of restaurants. In our conversation you told me that you have several vehicle that you used for delivery of goods that have mechanical problem.
I told you that I am a well experience mechanic. If ever, I would like to apply for a job on your company. I know that I have the knowledge, experience and capability of repairing every vehicle that you own. I have different seminars and trainings on diferent types, kinds and brands of vehicles.
I would appreciate it if you could consider my application. I will be a better additional employee in your companies. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to contact me at this number [redacted phone]. Thank you for your kind consideration. My CV was attached at the back.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have successfully addressed all three bullet points required by the prompt. You clearly identified the context of the meeting on the plane, specified your interest in a mechanical role, and provided a logical justification for your suitability based on your experience and training. The tone is appropriate for a formal business letter. To reach a higher band, ensure that the connection between the restaurant owner and the mechanical role is more clearly established, as the prompt implies a job within the restaurant business, and your transition to a vehicle maintenance role feels slightly abrupt. Overall, the purpose of the letter is clear and the response is well-focused.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter follows a logical progression, moving from the introduction to the specific details of the meeting, the job application, and finally the call to action. Paragraphing is used, though the structure could be improved by separating the introduction, the body paragraphs (meeting details, job interest, and suitability), and the conclusion more distinctly. You use some cohesive devices like 'As flight goes by' and 'If ever', but some transitions feel a bit mechanical or slightly unnatural. Improving the variety of linking words would help the flow of ideas feel more sophisticated and less repetitive.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'mechanical problem', 'application', and 'consideration'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'food chains' (usually 'restaurant chain'), 'well experience mechanic' (should be 'well-experienced' or 'highly experienced'), and 'better additional employee' (which is slightly awkward phrasing). While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the score. To improve, focus on using more precise professional collocations and ensure that adjectives are correctly formed when describing your professional background.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. However, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'If you could still remember' (should be 'If you remember'), 'As flight goes by' (missing article 'the'), and 'My CV was attached' (should be 'is attached'). Additionally, there are minor punctuation and spelling errors, such as 'diferent' and the spacing before the comma in the closing. While the meaning is always clear, the frequency of these small errors prevents a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage to improve accuracy.
