Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You successfully reminded the businessman of the meeting, specified your interest in a baking role, and explained your suitability through your experience. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although the opening 'Dear sir' is slightly generic. The ideas are relevant and clearly presented, though the explanation of why you would be suitable could be further developed with more specific examples of your baking skills to make a stronger impression. Overall, the task is fully addressed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter follows a logical progression, moving from the introduction to the specific request and then to your qualifications. Paragraphing is used to separate these ideas, which helps the reader follow your argument. However, some cohesive devices are used slightly awkwardly, such as 'As per the experience, I have in this field and passion'. Additionally, the transition between the second and third paragraphs could be smoother. While the overall structure is clear, the use of linking words is sometimes mechanical rather than natural.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'disclosed your identity', 'keen interest', and 'prosperity'. However, there are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'remind you our last conversation' (should be 'remind you of') and 'boost company's growth' (should be 'boost the company's growth'). The word 'fasination' is misspelled. While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the vocabulary from reaching a higher band level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, including missing articles ('taking plane', 'in a Indigo flight'), incorrect verb forms ('siting' instead of 'sitting'), and punctuation issues. The sentence 'I believe working in your company may be beneficial for me only but also for boost company's growth' contains a significant error in the correlative conjunction structure ('not only... but also') and a verb error. While the meaning is generally clear, these frequent errors indicate a need for more careful proofreading.
