IELTS Writing Task 1 question

During a recent plane journey, you sat next to a businessman who owns a chain of restaurants. You talked to him and he suggested that you should contact him about a possible job in one of his restaurants.

Write a letter to this businessman. In your letter

• remind him when and where you met
• tell him what kind of job you are interested in
• say why you think you would be suitable for the job

Dear Mr. David,

I am writing this letter to follow up on our conversation during our flight from London to New York last Tuesday . we sat next to each other, and you kindly suggested that I should contact you for a job in your restaurant.

I am very interested in applying for a Assistant Restaurant Manager position. I love working in hospitality and would welcome the chance to help run one of your locations.

I believe that I am well suited for this role as I have three years of working experience as a manager in a busy downtown restaurant. There I had managed daily shifts, trained new staff and made sure that the customers have a great dining experience. I am reliable and passionate and hard working about a great customer service.

I have attached my resume for your review. Thankyou for your time and consideration and I hope to hear from you soon.
