Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response successfully covers all the required bullet points of the task. You effectively reminded the businessman when and where you met by mentioning 'Delhi international indra gandhi airport on 23rd august of last month', clearly stated the job you are interested in as the 'assistant manager positon', and explained why you are suitable by highlighting your five years of experience as a 'food and bevrage supervisor'. All parts of the prompt are fully addressed with relevant details, and an appropriate semi-formal letter tone is maintained throughout, satisfying the requirements for Band 7.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The letter is written as one continuous block of text without proper paragraphing, which significantly impacts the logical layout and visual structure expected in a professional letter. While ideas flow logically from the introduction to the reminder, job interest, and qualifications, the lack of paragraph breaks creates a run-on effect. Furthermore, cohesive devices are minimal, relying mostly on basic comma splices and conjunctions (e.g., 'and i have attache curriculem viate for you reference please have look'). Because the structural organisation lacks distinct paragraphs to separate distinct topics, the score reflects weaknesses in cohesion and paragraphing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary relevant to the hospitality industry, using terms like 'hospitality', 'food and bevrage supervisor', and 'assistant manager'. However, there are notable spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'bevrage', 'positon', 'intrested', 'insutry', 'attache', 'curriculem viate', and 'reference'. These spelling mistakes, along with some slight inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, show a limited control over less common lexical items, keeping the vocabulary score at a Band 6.0 level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The text contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but it is heavily reliant on long run-on sentences joined together by commas rather than proper punctuation or conjunctions (e.g., 'I am Sahil, it was my pleasure meeting you...'). There are several grammatical inaccuracies and missing articles, such as 'I had amazing time' (missing article 'an') and 'knowledge how insutry works' (missing preposition). Punctuation is largely neglected, with missing periods and uncapitalised pronouns like 'i'. These errors occur frequently and cause some strain for the reader, placing your grammar in the Band 5.5 category.
