IELTS Writing Task 1 question

During a recent plane journey, you sat next to a businessman who owns a chain of restaurants. You talked to him and he suggested that you should contact him about a possible job in one of his restaurants.

Write a letter to this businessman. In your letter

• remind him when and where you met
• tell him what kind of job you are interested in
• say why you think you would be suitable for the job

Dear Sir,

I am writing to seek your favour regarding a job opportunity in your chain of restaurants in Ontario, Canada.

You might remembered me, I am Parminder Singh and I sat right next to you while we were travelling from New Delhi to Montreal. The flight was departed at late night and we spent plenty of time together while travelling and had a dinner together in the Business Class. While talking each other you gave me your visitor card and asked for contact to find possible job openings at your restaurants.

Recently, I moved to Ontario and looking for job in customer service representative. Apart from this, I am good at cooking and would like to pursue my carrer in cooking field.

I believe I would be the suitable candidate for the job for several reasons. Firstly, I have good communication skills and I can speak in multilanguages. I also completed six month cookery course and I have been working for one year in the same field.
