You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear ................. ,
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir,
I hope this letter finds you in good spirit.
The purpose of my writing is to remind you about our conversation last week in the Air India plane, going from Delhi International Airport to Toronto Pearson Airport, Missisuaga.
In our air journey, we sat next to each other and had a nice talk. During that gossip, I came to know about your profession as a bussinessman, living in Windsor right now and had a great restaurant chain all over in Ontario, Canada.
I went to my cousins' house for few days and now I started living in an apartment in Windsor as my college is here. So, as per our previous conversation, I am interested to join your team in Windsor as a cashier. As I have experience from back home and I would attach my resume and cover letter with this letter. If you need anything else please let me know.
I will be looking forward for your reply.
Thank you.
With regards,
Aman

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
The student successfully covers all bullet points required by the task prompt. You remind the businessman where and when you met by mentioning the 'last week in the Air India plane, going from Delhi International Airport to Toronto Pearson Airport'. You clearly state the kind of job you are interested in by writing 'I am interested to join your team in Windsor as a cashier'. Finally, you provide a reason why you are suitable, explaining that 'As I have experience from back home and I would attach my resume and cover letter'. The tone is appropriately polite for a business-related letter. All parts of the task are addressed adequately, earning a solid band score.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter follows a logical arrangement starting with a greeting, followed by the reminder, the purpose of the letter, and a polite sign-off. Paragraphing is used to separate the opening, the context of meeting, the job application details, and the closing. However, cohesive devices are occasionally awkward or basic, such as the transition 'So, as per our previous conversation'. Referencing is generally clear, but the logical progression between sentences is at times mechanical. Overall organisation is clear enough to ensure smooth navigation through the text.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully communicating key details such as 'profession', 'cashier', 'experience', and 'resume'. There are some unnatural word choices and spelling errors, such as 'good spirit' instead of 'good spirits', 'Missisuaga' (spelling of Mississauga), 'bussinessman' (spelling of businessman), and the phrase 'during that gossip' which is inappropriate in a professional context ('conversation' or 'chat' would be much better). Less common vocabulary is attempted with mixed accuracy, placing this response firmly in the band 6 category.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The student demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'The purpose of my writing is to remind you about our conversation...' and 'As I have experience from back home and I would attach my resume...'. There are several grammatical errors and awkward structures, including 'I hope this letter finds you in good spirit' (spirits), 'Toronto Pearson Airport, Missisuaga' (punctuation/spelling), 'living in Windsor right now and had a great restaurant chain' (tense inconsistency), and 'I will be looking forward for your reply' (looking forward to). While these errors are noticeable, they do not impede overall communication.
