During a recent plane journey, you sat next to a businessman who owns a chain of restaurants. You talked to him and he suggested that you should contact him about a possible job in one of his restaurants.

Write a letter to this businessman. In your letter

• remind him when and where you met
• tell him what kind of job you are interested in
• say why you think you would be suitable for the job

Dear Robert,

I hope you are doing well. My name is Gurpreet and we met on a flight from Delhi to Toronto on 24 April 2026. If you can remember I was the one who helped you solve your internet problem on the plane. Moreover, that was the time when you told me if I need any kind of job in future I can contact you through this email.

To be precise, I am looking for a job particularly focused on some kind of skill because that kind of job can help me get permanent residence of Canada. As I can recall, I already told you about my internet skills and my studies in business management field.

So, I would really appreciate if you can get back to me on this email and help me with providing some kind of opportunity in one of your restaurants. I shall be very thankyou to you for this act of kindness.
