Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three required points: you remind Jane that you met on the flight from Toronto to Seattle, identify the Area Manager role in the GTA, and explain your suitability through your hotel-management qualification and six years in the restaurant sector. These details make your purpose clear and support your application. The reference to having researched the business and attaching documents also fits the situation. To make the response more fully developed, specify one or two relevant achievements or responsibilities from your previous General Manager role, rather than relying mainly on broad claims such as “I fulfill all the requirements” and “the perfect candidate.” A more specific example would make your case more persuasive and individual.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter follows a sensible sequence: it recalls the meeting, introduces the job interest, presents qualifications, and closes with a request for a response. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and phrases such as “Regarding my education background” signal a shift to supporting details. The progression is clear overall, but some links feel repetitive or mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “also” and “regarding.” The opening paragraph also combines the introduction and purpose in a way that could be smoother. Use a wider range of natural transitions and make the relationship between your research, the vacancy, and your experience more explicit. The closing request for an interview is appropriate, though it could connect more directly to the specific role.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to a job enquiry, including “job opportunity,” “Area Manager,” “educational background,” and “restaurant sector,” so the reader can understand the purpose and your experience. There are also attempts at more formal expressions, such as “necessary documents” and “available position.” However, noticeable word-choice, collocation, spelling, and word-form problems reduce precision: “in regarding of,” “fresh start,” “General Manger,” and “well know Franchise model” are either inaccurate or awkward in this context. Some phrases, such as “strong educational background” and “impressive experience,” are broad rather than specific. Aim for accurate professional collocations and use concrete terms to describe your responsibilities and achievements.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The response attempts a mixture of simple and more complex structures, including “I strongly believe that…” and the sentence beginning “I have not only… but also…”. The overall meaning remains understandable, and the letter has a recognisable formal structure. However, errors occur across verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “I just return” needs a past-tense form, while “I also holds” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. “I look forward to hear back” requires a gerund, and “scheduling a interview” has an article error. The opening fragment “Myself krishnkant…” is also not a complete, natural sentence. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, then review tense, agreement, and articles before submitting.
