Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three required points: you identify the flight from Toronto to Seattle, specify an area manager role in the Greater Toronto area, and support your suitability with six years in fast food, a hotel-management degree, and previous general-manager experience. These details make your application relevant and give the reader a clear sense of your qualifications. The explanation of why you fit the role is particularly well supported. To make the response more complete and precise, remind Jane more explicitly of the conversation in which she invited you to get in touch, and clarify whether you are applying for a specific advertised vacancy or enquiring about a possible opening. The closing request for an interview is appropriate, though it could be phrased more directly and professionally.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a clear overall progression: it opens by recalling the meeting and stating its purpose, then describes the role sought, presents qualifications, and closes with a request for contact. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and links such as “Furthermore” and “Moreover” show an effort to connect supporting points. This gives the reader a coherent route through the application. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and the final two paragraphs repeat the request to continue the conversation without a clear distinction between the attached documents and the desired next step. Improve the progression by grouping qualifications together and ending with one concise, specific request. Clearer sentence boundaries would also make the connections between ideas easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant employment vocabulary, including “job opportunities,” “job description,” “leadership,” “decision making,” and “hotel management degree,” so the reader can understand the role and your experience. There are also attempts at more expressive language, such as “a cherry on the cake,” although this idiom is too informal for a professional application and does not sound natural in this context. Numerous spelling errors and inaccurate word forms—such as “posibilty,” “opprtunity,” “manger,” and “assest”—make the writing less polished and can slow the reader. Some phrases are also imprecise, including “frest start in restaurant services.” Build accuracy by proofreading spelling and choosing standard professional collocations, such as “a fresh start in the restaurant industry.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The response attempts both simple and more extended sentence forms, particularly when explaining your experience and qualifications. The sentence beginning “I am an appropriate candidate” combines several supporting reasons, showing an effort to express a developed argument. However, grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the intended meaning harder to process. For example, “now i looking” needs a finite verb (“I am now looking”), while “my 6 years experience … would an asset” needs both a possessive form and a verb (“my six years of experience … would be an asset”). The opening fragment, “Myslef krishnkant,” also needs to be recast as a complete sentence. Check verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries, then divide long sentences where necessary.
