As you remeber we met in a an aeroplane which was going to New York from Toronto day before yesterday and we discuss about your bussines and you told me that you run a number of indian resaturant in Brampton, Ontario.

I have worked in all kind of jobs which a normal resaturant probbly has but i want to apply for a Manager position.

I am best to manage strees and on spot tasks and also to tackle with work related issues such as, collegues dispute, customer service and managing the time table. Moreover, i am on a notice period so can be start from next week.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The letter covers all three required points: you identify the journey from Toronto to New York, request a manager position, and explain your management experience and relevant responsibilities. The details about handling customer service, staff disputes, and scheduling help show why you may be suitable. This meets the task well, with some elements more fully addressed than others: the job request and qualifications are clear, but the meeting reminder could be more precise, and the suitability claims would be stronger with a brief example or evidence of your achievements. The notice-period detail is useful, though “can be start from next week” does not clearly explain your availability. A more specific, supported account would make the letter more convincing and complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The information follows a sensible overall order: you open with your purpose, recall the meeting, describe the role you want, and give reasons for your suitability before closing. Paragraph breaks also help separate these functions. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “As you remember” introduces a long sentence containing several details, while the qualifications and availability are crowded into one paragraph. The sequence would be easier to follow if you used shorter sentences and gave each main point its own paragraph. The closing is appropriate, but the letter would benefit from a more polished transition from your experience to your availability. Overall, the organisation is coherent, although cohesion is not consistently smooth.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to restaurant management, including “Manager position,” “customer service,” “colleagues dispute,” and “managing the time table,” so the reader can understand the kind of work you have done. There is some range in the responsibilities you mention, but word choice, spelling, and collocation errors are noticeable and sometimes make the letter less professional. Examples include “applying a job,” “a number of indian resaturant,” and “manage strees.” Several expressions are also imprecise, such as “all kind of jobs which a normal restaurant probably has.” Aim for accurate, natural phrases such as “apply for a position,” “restaurant chain,” and “manage stressful situations.” Careful proofreading would improve clarity and professional tone.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The letter includes both simple statements and longer sentences, such as the sentence beginning “I am best to manage…,” which attempts to connect several responsibilities. The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. For instance, “we discuss about” needs a past-tense verb and a different construction, while “I have a four years previous experience” has problems with article use and the noun phrase. The final availability statement, “so can be start from next week,” also has an incomplete verb structure. Try using a mix of shorter, controlled sentences and more complex forms, checking tense, articles, and complete verb phrases. These corrections would make your meaning more consistently clear.
