Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You make an attempt to cover the three requested points: you refer to meeting on a flight from Ahmedabad to Delhi, express interest in a restaurant-manager job, and try to explain your connection with Gujarati food. However, the reason you would be suitable is not actually explained; “I love Gujarati food” does not show relevant skills or experience, and the request for a job remains unclear. The letter also contains only 122 words, below the required 150, so the ideas are too brief to develop the purpose fully. Add specific evidence such as customer-service experience, management skills, or knowledge of the cuisine, and clearly state what role you seek.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic letter shape, with an opening, several short paragraphs, and a sign-off. The meeting, job request, and suitability are at least identifiable, but the progression is difficult to follow because ideas are repeated or joined without clear relationships. For example, “I have a one request for job” is followed by an unclear explanation, while the final paragraph repeats the meeting and job suggestion rather than developing a reason for your suitability. Use one paragraph for the meeting, one for the role and relevant experience, and a final paragraph for next steps. Clear sentence boundaries and linking phrases would make the message easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your vocabulary is basic and repetitive, but some task-related words—such as “restaurants,” “manager,” and “Gujarati food”—help communicate the general topic. However, frequent spelling and word-choice problems strain the reader: “famios” and “remmber” are difficult to interpret, while “I also such my job” and “good suggested” do not express a clear meaning. The phrase “I have a one request for job” also shows limited control of natural collocations. Build a small set of accurate phrases for employment letters, such as “I am writing to enquire about,” “restaurant manager,” and “relevant experience,” and check spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The response relies mainly on short, simple statements, and frequent errors in basic sentence structure and verb forms sometimes distort meaning. For example, “we meet a last month” needs a past-tense verb and a different time expression, while “In a plane we talking” lacks a correctly formed verb. Articles and agreement are also problematic in “I am a rachna patel” and “I have a one request.” Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, making some sentences run together, particularly in the final paragraph. Practise accurate past-tense sentences about the meeting and clear present-tense sentences about your skills, then combine related ideas with simple conjunctions.
