Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The letter addresses all three required points: you identify the journey (“5th October” from Delhi to Amritsar), request a managerial role, and give relevant experience and skills. The five years as a manager and your ability to handle customer complaints and store management provide a useful basis for your suitability. However, the job preference is not fully clear: “Manager positions” is broad, while “Store Managers position” appears later. The specific restaurant and address are also introduced without explaining how you know these details. Develop the request more clearly by naming the role consistently and briefly linking your experience to the businessman’s restaurant needs. The purpose is relevant throughout, though some supporting details need clarification.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The information follows a generally suitable order: you remind the reader of the meeting, make your request, explain your experience, and close politely. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages. Some links between ideas are less smooth, however. The sentence beginning “As this role is challenging” is a fragment and does not connect clearly to the preceding sentence, while “About my experience” introduces the next point rather mechanically. The shift from a general manager position to a specific store-manager vacancy also interrupts the progression. Use complete sentences and clearer transitions, and keep the job title consistent so the reader can follow your request without having to infer how the details relate.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to employment and restaurant work, including “opportunity,” “responsibilities,” “customer complaints,” and “store management.” These choices communicate the main ideas, but the range and control are limited by several noticeable spelling errors and unnatural expressions. For example, “Hope you get this letter well” is not a natural way to open the letter, and “an interview call” is an awkward collocation. Errors such as “expereince,” “availible,” and “handel” also reduce the professional impression. Aim for accurate, natural phrases suited to a formal job enquiry, and check spelling carefully. More precise wording for your experience and strengths would make the letter sound more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The letter includes both simple statements and attempts at more complex structures, such as “Having five years of experience as a Manager, I believe…” This gives some variety, and the intended meaning is generally understandable. However, some grammatical errors affect clarity and formality. “Hope you get this letter well” omits the subject and uses an unsuitable construction; “I would appreciate if you appoint me” needs a different clause structure; and “As this role is challenging…” is an incomplete sentence. There are also issues with articles and number in “a Manager positions” and “the availible Store Managers position.” Practise complete sentence construction and check agreement and articles, especially when describing the role you want.
